Selling your best pet blows

Sold my PvP dragon for 2 SS's tokens. Was the best one on the shard hands down. Since then Ive been going to Dastard every 8 hours for the last week. Not one good dragon, not a single one. 1 or 2 that could be good PvM dragons, but nothing PvP.

Brings to mind all the hub bub over this new calculator that rates pets. Theres a big damn difference between PvP dragons and PvM dragons. I dont believe this new gizmo has any idea between the 2. So if you invest all your belief in "it" knowing the difference between the 2 then good luck too you. Till then King Edward,Krews,Guardian KX will still be putting the best pets out there.

Someone should of told you Ed, that those type of pets no longer spawn after a couple patches ago. The first drag's to come out were the best and are no longer seen.

Post the stats... Last uber greater dragon I saw was Shakaja's. That thing was a beast. Mine was pretty beastly as well. Rated 4.5 on the power scale, not that I go by that. I think this would be the second best dragon I've seen. But then again, I never saw any of Sir Morders. He always claimed to have the best, yet he always kept it a secret :coco:

I obviously don't look for dragons on Siege, but the best dragons I've gotten on Europa have always come from Ilsh, near the Valor champ spawn. Could be there's no difference between the two spots, but it wouldn't hurt to look?

Yes P., I check Dastard, Fire Temple, and anything I can get my lore target on. They all spawn randomly.

OK.

Were talking a PVP dragon, so for the most part resist and hps are pointless. For PvP I perfer 800+ HPS (If your PvPing and need to stick around for more than 800 then your doing something wrong) but I perfer 900ish or more. Dragons with more than 800HPS/545 str DO NO MORE DAMAGE IN PVP than a drag with 669 str and 1000 HPS. FB is based on actual HPS and actual Str, So again I perfer 600+ Str. Int bases the dragons casting power and I perfer 600 Int, next power casting level is 665 points for a 10% increase in casting power and they are just too hard to find.

PvP Dragons on my method are based on 800+ HPS / 600+ Str, 600+ int, 125.1 Wrestle (for a 5% chance over player max of 120 wrestle), 120.1 Resist spells (So a 120 Eval mage only has a 3 sec para window), and 120.1 Magery so it actually para's people without 120 resist for more than 3 secs.

I say again if your hanging around waiting for 999 HPS to go away in PvP then you doing something wrong. If your waiting around for the 85 phy and 90 fire resist to do you some good, YOUR GONNA DIE. Tact is a PvM skill, it will do you no good as the dragon will already bite for max dmg at 0 tact. High resists are PvM skills, no one hangs around in a PvP fight for resist to make a damn bit of difference. High HPS again are mostly a PvM skill, if your gonna hang around and somehow get 999 HPS chewed off your dragon, SOMETHINGS WRONG.

Im sure that you may have your own opinion, but this is mine and my dragons are the best on the shard. Shakaja had a high hp and resist dragon with wrestle. was for PvM. IF you ever fought Shakaja like I did, it was her, umm, what words not bannable...? oh yes, "Skills", it was her OTF one of a kind "skills" that allowed her to win.

First, I wish to congraduate those Animal Tamers who tested their metal to control Greater Dragons.
When they first appeared, I saw a small house in the Southern part of the Wind/Despise valley with a GD just wandering there so far from home. I knew that these beasties would shift the game and become a dominating Template.
The "All Kill" call seems to be the end of most encounters unless others cooperated to counter this or potential templates had to include Stealth to avoid.

Second, of course Stealth, Pet ball combined and resulted in further calls to get rid of Stealth. Frankly if that happens , then Hiding should go to.

Third, Does these changes in Stats of the GD make a different shift in Templates?

Fourth, Does this make them easier to tame? Will there be more Tamers?

Last, I know Gold is the coin of the realm, or in this case Soulstone tokens is part of the trade game that is on going. Will this change? How many GD's get trained and sold per year?

Any Good Ed?

Absolutely a great PvP Dragon... Gets its ass handed to it in PvM, but this is all a true PvP tamer needs. Survival skills beyond "all kill" and hiding is what makes a TRUE PvP tamer.

Its either the aggressive attacker or the passive healer that will win this fight. If you panick, like we all have, and start pushing the wrong buttons, game over. If you sit back, play it as a game of easy +'s or -'s, then your either gonna drop the other guy or burn his mana pool up and leave him pissed.

This is a very very nice PvM Dragon, about as good as your gonna get. If its Resist was 120.1 or more then this baby would be the best of both worlds.

Honestly I think I was stupid to sell my PvP one. I suggest you just put this baby in the stable as "a bonded for life to this char" pet. If you ever sell the account, mention this baby in the credits.

If anyones thinking of buying, and wants a true PvM pet, this guy has it right here. Im a true nit picker about command loyality, and demand that my pets be first tames by me. Otherwize I'd make a investment for this one.:scholar:

Ill try to answer what I understand.

1st. Yes everyone hated G drags, now they have been nerfed and are not as bad as they once were. And I perfer All Attack.

2nd. You now have a delay on pet balls, they also reveal you when used. Most people will quitely agree that everyone uses the "log in/out" approach now. The complaints have quited, but yes people still grumble.

3rd. Yes, on different templates, and a "maybe" based on pets skills. One could argue the benefits of a PvP tamer fight and one chooses Parry knowing the other guys pets wrestling sucks. Same could be said on its casting powers VS the players resist spells. Or the players Wrestling VS. the pets wrestling, just to name a few. Or Dog form and healing damage VS Parry and not getting damaged. Use of mage weapons?

4th. The higher the overall #'s of the pet (everything... Str,HPs,INT,Dex,Stamina,Skills,Resists) in my opiniion makes for a harder to tame pet. I NEVER para tame, ALWAYS weaken tame.

5th. We dont have alot of people so no, not many uber pets get sold. I have tamed nicer PvM drags for maybe 4 people in the last year. I do believe that they have been nerfed since creation. And I also believe that a few people have monsters locked away and dont even know it, we'll see the day they come back. Im still hurting over the work of love I sold for 2 SS's, but I needed um and the guy I sold him too was of a nicer sort. If you have a nice one, i suggest you never sell it. I'm still looking for a good one and nothing has yet to come close.

Hope that Helps. =-]

Yeah I wasn't saying that dragon was for pvp. I was just stating that from all my run ins with JSV and that other guild that always ran tamers, I never really saw any good ones.

And back then what allowed a dragon to "win" was the bite bleed fireball combo that would hit for all your health. I remember one time running 135 health (no str pot chugged at the time) and Rojo dude sicked his dragon on me and instant dropped me. I was soooooo irked.

Its just a shame the devs allowed so much damage to be done to the shard before they put any of the nerfs/fixes into place for pets. The devs here are their own worst enemy.
