Not a bash by any means but logged in last night to find folks arguing over last nights event ending. Select few went home with five and six events items. I know we can find a more effective way to reward players. Folks always give you guys crap about the rate you drop event items, and how it's never enough. This will only fuel thier fire I assure you. Was this announced at the end of the Nemesis stone event or just in the forums the night before? I have missed many events of recent but really hate to see such drops where billions in gold will go to one or two players who were fortunate enough to be reading this forum or part of select townships that firmly place their proverbial lips on the keisters of the ems and Mesanna. Hell, theirs even a customized home in one of the townships altered by Mesanna with burning fire bearing a statue in her likeness. Must be some published event /storyline for that somewhere........

well i didn't even know the list for june events was posted because i checked like 2 days ago and it still hadn't been posted, i figured it would be posted after the next HOC like it usually is, my name was on the banner which is the only reason i got the item because i missed the gate.... the main thing that i'm upset about is that i had 2 of those large crystals that we got from those township events sitting in a chest, a few days ago they each had a timer lasting for about 200 real life days, all of a sudden i checked them and they were down to 5000 seconds, i really should have been able to trade them in for the item that was given out because i worked hard to get those crystals fighting all those monsters

As far as the crystals go...

Balandar asked at each Nematic Phylactery for one of the rods to destroy it. He also announced you should hold on to them for the destruction of the Nemesis stone. During the destruction of the stone event, he asked for any that anyone might still have to turn it. These were not meant to be a permanent item and were set to expire on or about the first week of June, giving plenty of time for us to complete the story which started on April 16th. It was made clear what would happen if you turned one in, as Balandar was asked a few dozen and a half times about it.

As Balandar mentioned at the memorial, if anyone who turned in the rod did not receive a map, please email EM Dudley and he will arrange for it. Deadline is 6/15/2011.

Being one of the players who received Five of these I will tell you that I was there on Sarberius and Gareth double client. The other three I obtained I simply used the public EM RPC runebook which has been locked down at the community teleport hub for almost two years, which I have been stocking on a vendor for almost two years at 5k gold.

So when I got there I saw this sheild which could be highlighted and at that point I knew this was going to be a item give away. So I used my brain, grabbed some recall scrolls and recalled in on 3 of my 12 active Ultima Online subscriptions and claimed them.

What I did with the items

1. Traded to Solus who has it on display in his Chesapeake Museum
2. Sold one to Nezuna the GM of DMG at a discount and sent the gold to Lineman as part of my debt repayment.
3. Sold one to Funtony and sent the gold to Lineman as part of my debt repayment.
4. Gave one to Nightly Spirit who gave Kijustsu Anei Village a Crystallized item to use in RP who didn't make the event.
5. Saved one for display in the Mage Tower.

Coulda just said the township name....as for the house I already knew you would post something about it and WildStar already replied to that. As for becoming aware of these things I would suggest adding these forums to a feed. That way whenever something is posted you will get an alert about it like I do. So... I think that about covers it from my end.
