(it's not public, no one can see, if you're shy about admitting your years )

Most UO players don't post on stratics. PvPers feel they were run off stratics years ago, so we can basically assume that a large number of 16-35 year old males aren't posting here anymore. Take into account the fact that tons of posters have been posting here for years and year, and we can probably take a guess that the numbers will show skew in favor of showing UO players are older than they are. Young posters are often banned from stratics because they are baited by trolls more often and subsequently violate the rules; this is widely assumed to be true. Oh and take into account the people who will just make up random ages to be funny...

For these reasons and more, I think we can assume we'll find the UO Stratics demographics will show the population to be older than it is.

I run one of the larger pvp guilds on Napa and have no members sub early 20's. We have had some in the past but the never stay or fit. This said UO is not a game for the young crowd due to a few factor such as graphics and the massive hurdle to jump in order to be slightly even with your peers.

well it is strange how children like pastels and neon and grow out of it then at some point grand parents start wearing those colors again kinda strange... maybe everyone is not telling their real age maybe most here are in there 70s

I'm actually in agreement with some most of those young whipper snappers have probably been banned from Stratics long time ago.

Or ran away because Stratics doesn't like negativity or Punk kid.

We were discussing at work today how young people have very little sense of responsibility or consequence these days and how it's almost dangerous for them to have things like credit cards.

Makes me feel old. I still remember my High School days like it was yesterday.... only that was some... 25+ years ago...

Now I have an "empty nest" so to speak... though it still actually full.. and the little buggers should have gotten the ole heave ho... but they remain.... and I actually have a Granddaughter... who'd have thought?? Certainly if you would have asked me when I was 16 if I thought I'd be where I am today I'd have laughed and said "Heck no! ...... I'm never getting married and I'm not going to have children!".... funny how life works out.

I dont think most of the younger players have been banned from stratics... i just think they probably spend most of their game time actually playing the game. Kinda like pvp, after a bijillion kills it kinda gets boring. The newer players are what keeps it alive.

I think most forum users are a bit older because weve come to the point where playing the game just isnt enough anymore, and we move on to talking about the game.

Eh ... I've been a stratics member since I was in my early 20's and before that I was fairly active on the old uopowergamers website (the one run by Nieves and Wonderbrick back in the day, JC the Builder will remember what I'm talking about I'm sure). But I think I do post a lot more these days then I remember back then so maybe you're right.
