......sound impossible if you cannot recall to the thing?not being able to recall to their boat. To stop this from happening to you, please dry dock your boat
support eaMost people have gotten back to their boats, either with help from GMs or by concerted effort by fellow players to locate the missing boards and note the co-ordinates.
If any boats are still AWOL list here the boat name, shard, facet and last known position (roughly) as best you can remember.
(05-10-2011)Page again. Many people have been taken to their boats by gms.
Say this: My boat rune is broken. I have been told that you can transport me to the boat to recover it, as has been done for many other players today.
This has been answered a couple dozen times this year.yes i was wondering the same thing. how are you supposed to dry dock when you can't empty your cargo hold? I have 4 four and five line orders for Jhelom filled and would like to get credit for it. It's not the end of the world if i lose it, but a lot of time and effort goes into completing these things.
Surely there is a better way that losing the quest and reputation points by dry docking??
Have you launched one of the new High Seas ships yet? Have you even obtained the new booster for High Seas? If you had/ have, then you would know that the new ships do not produce a ship key when launched. They produce a recall rune. And the problem isn't with the old legacy boats, it is with the new High Seas ones. Please keep pets and objects clear of the mast so they do not block your recall location in this scenario. If this does not work you can page a GM for help. Have one of the master ship keys in your main pack when you call, as this is what the GM will use to find your ship and put you back aboard.
You must page as the character that created the ship, and the ship key must be loose in your pack, not on a keyring. The GM will not place your character on a ship you do not own for any reason.
If they've been missing more than 2 weeks, yes they're probably gone by now. The GM's, quite rightly, will only take the boat owner to the boat. Why did the owners not page?since this bug, dont you think the ships are gone now?
Or did they stop the decay on them?
I have 3 missing still that belong to freinds and was told only the owner can have a GM bring them to it.
I'm afraid to say that if there was any fix behind the scenes, it's going to be worse in the short term; I've been safely using my boat for a few hours every day for the last 2 weeks without problem, but it went missing again today. Fortunately I remembered where it was (docked at Vesper) and quickly got it back, and now I'm going to unload it and dry dock it once more just in case... but don't assume your boats are safe yet people.
yes muu, one certainly could interchange key for rune and rune for key ...Have you launched one of the new High Seas ships yet? Have you even obtained the new booster for High Seas? Seems as though they haven't updated their info on that particular "item". While it appears as though one could certainly interchange "key" for "rune" in your cut-and-paste of the rules, it wouldn't hurt to be a little up-to-date in what goes on with the new content (EA that is).
Commodity deeds are your friend.maybe they would be willing to come unload all 16000 stones of fish for me as well as find the boats....

1. When you get on your ship, and it doesn't recognize you, that means that you can actually place a different boat.
2. Once on the bugged ship, sail around to the delivery points with the completed quests.
3. Place your second boat (Can be an old-style one) at the dock by the fishmonger.
4. As long as your old boat and your temporary replacement are both on the same subserver as the fishmonger, you can deliver the quest.
5. REFUSE any replacement quests that are offered. They won't affect your reputation, if they are refused (as opposed to accepting and cancelling). You need to refuse them because they will want to go into your replacement boat, and this can bug your reputation if you get quests for an old-style boat.
6. Dry-dock your temporary ride, sail your bugged ship to the next delivery point, and repeat 2-5.
7. Once all the quests are finished this way, with no new quests, you can empty and drydock your boat with no reputation loss.
Sorry Petra, I think you are mistaken on this one. See post #12 above. Unless there was a server publish between post 12 and post 20 (yours) it has not been fixed. This is a server side issue not client side.I think you'll find it is fixed.
I launched my boat, the rune in my rune book worked, I didn't have to mark any new ones.
The quickest way to handle this, in the interim, is once you get your boat unbugged, don't take any more quests than the ones you are going to fill before you log out. That way, if the bug comes back, you won't have any quests aboard, and you can use the harbormaster to unload, then dry-dock, relaunch, and have the harbormaster reload the ship.Ok this did indeed work, thank you.
But is there any reason why it should be so complicated ? And who in the world is going to know to do this process now or in future occurances?
Geez i just want to play the game, not go through a dissertation on fishing or uo mechanics. What a joke...
