In game - single luck naturally spawning rings and bracelets I like to keep them by the forge locked down for well luck! they must have no other property and Ive only found about 6-7 total. One per move. Probably missed a lot but still fairly uncommon
In RL - old game boxes. I have ultima pagan exodus and underworld 2 I also have a few really old pc game boxes from like 92-95 Hell, shadow caster and a few others. Only like 10 in all but I just cant seem to throw them away. Its too bad digital downloads came about, I'd have more!

Love dolls. In-game as all the player characters across multiple accounts (ala all-female assassin recruits in AC2 : Brotherhood). In RL as Japanese manufactured & imported life-size dolls.

In game I'm still trying to collect all possible statues, But it's an expensive process. *grin*

Rocks......
Well not exactly rocks but....
So far I've got hmm...
Blue, Yellow, and Clear Topaz, Garnets, Star Sapphires, Star Rubies, Sapphires, Emerald, Quartz Crystals, Amethyst, Citrine, Hiddenite, Rose Quartz crystals, Amazonite, and a few others I can't think of off hand.
Job I had until it closed down required lots of travel, on weekends I had to work my GF, who worked there as well and wrote my route schedule, would set it up so that I went into areas that had public Gem Mines, of course since she wasn't required to work weekends she always rode along with me. Which makes me wonder, how many other people here have a GF that knows how to change the Transmission in washing machine.......
Other than Rocks, I've been building a collection of Piers Anthony books (Xanth Series), along with snapping up old D&D books from the late 70's as I can find them. Actually got lucky and picked up a first print edition of the original Monster Manual for $8 at a used book store, only ones I could find on Amazon at the time started at around $500 (art was changed after the first printing because up-tight conservatives complained about the anatomical detail of some of the art making them pretty rare). I consider that a lucky find, I also grab up Novels and Novellas published with the TSR label and not WoTC, the variety was broader, and seriously everything about AD&D that's been released under WoTC's ownership has sucked. I mainly try and get Forgotten Realms, Dark Sun and Ravenloft series books, primarily the latter two due to trouble finding them, many of the Dragonlance setting books are still in print and I have copies of the most popular ones. The Last time we moved I realized I had more books than clothes.....

In game my oldest *collections* would be on Chesapeake, going back to 98 or so. I have all the original *city* snowglobes with newer cities added to that collection, all the shrine snowglobes, practically every anniversary bell christmas bell including white bells since ages ago. I keep the reindeer and sleds, most christmas items. I have a lot of the original whispering roses of all my older chrs. that got the roses and former guild mates whispering roses as they left UO on Chesapeake too.
On Siege my collections stemmed more from 2004 forward, I do collect player written books usually found in some idoc of players whom left UO or guilds leaders books if I find them out there somewhere, like some history collection.
On both shards my newer collections would be parrots. I have be fortunate to be given orphaned parrots on both shards and so if some one gave me some orphaned parrot or their own cuz they ended up hating parrots, those parrots are named after the persons that gave them to me. So more so on siege than chesapeake, my myriad of parrots, put up by *seniority* read like a who's who list of Siege Perilous !
RL collections are not like they used to be. I used to collect dolls from various places I visted around the world in *native* customing, still have all of them, and fancy porcelein dolls too, but after so many yrs. ya run out of room and all of em end up...boxed up to keep em pristine and not *displayed*
Hubby collects guns rifles hangin on the wall mostly in our den. He also Budweiser and other beer steins. He also collects if it be trophy sized.......um DEAD ANIMALS to taxidermy on the den wall. The den is his man cave. So far when I enter the den, a huge trout, a large pheasant and some tiny alligator's eyeballs lookin at me. I am quite glad so far the huge trophy buck is not yet...on the den wall. I would not want to have a big *bambi* starin at me ! LOL
ATM in rl I am collecting...Sheltie dog fur.......every time they shed, I shout next dogs gonna be mexican hairless as hubby laughs. Then I vacumn up & sweep thick heavy shedding sheltie fur off the premises ! LOL

Nexus: I too have a *rock* collection with various types of rocks and quartzes especially some great lakes area ones that are like historic evidences that once Wisconsin where I used to live was under a glacier in parts of Wisconsin.
I also collect......prisims. When the sun hits the windows it's oft like a rainbow in the house cuz some of em are hanging in the rl house windows for when the rising or settin sun hits our window.
Comically one of our shelties is a *disco dancer* when the evening sun comes on the livingroom windows and the *rainbows* hit the living room, it is like Sat. Night Fever in here especially when I move the prisims to make the rainbow lights swiftly move all over the room, and my one sheltie chases the *rainbows* appearing all over the livingroom, changing direction as the sun moves. It is oft my late afternoon entertainment...get the sheltie dog, to go DISCO chasing the sparkly rainbows in the living room. LOL

In game: Nothing specific although I do guess that I'm currently "collecting" as many resources (ingots mainly) as I can as well as BODs. Not only am I collector (mainly US, some world), but I work for a top-tier coin grading/authentication service as well as the sister conservation company (as a grader and show rep for the one company and conservator/lab rat for the other). In fact, those who have known me on here for a while have already seen my pic in just about every world-wide news media (although I am not specifically identified in that pic).

In-game: I'm trying for a set of 100% single elemental pickaxes, sledgehammers and smith hammers (both facings) for my crafter room deco. Also, though I've not had much luck with them since the first year I started working on it, I'm trying to get at least one of each paragon ore elemental chest.
RL: I collected comics from 1984-2007 (where my declining income, rising comics prices, and the closure of the local comics store ended that).
I collect anime, but again, my finances crippled that, and I dislike watching stuff on a computer (and I can't get the rest of the family to let me hook my computer with downloaded fansubs into our one flatscreen TV). I also have a lot of anime soundtracks (or individual tracks from them); some of them are really good for UO "alternate soundtrack" .
To an extent, I collect obselete computers in running order (I've not tested it in over a year, but there's a P100 behind me, and I had a working 486 SX/33 that mysteriously disappeared). I occasionally loan out the older machines in dire need (like my friend who borrowed my 533 celeron because his 400 bit the dust, and eventually wore it out too)
I also collect (and play) tabletop RPGs - at one time I had a nearly complete set of the games from Palladium Books; but again, finances haven't allowed me to keep pace.

In UO I collect Obsidian Statues, the Holiday Statues and KotCA (EM) rares. I guess you could also technically say I collect shiny blue things and snow piles too...

OMG In-game I'm a pack rat. I collect Roses (though I've begun to SERIOUSLY limit myself on what I buy for them now.... it has to be a cool name or someone I knew), most anything with a "Drowish" name, I am the Imelda Marcos of AoS boots (Love the Thigh boots best), but by far my favorite collection that NEVER ends is my 100% weapon collection.... I'm always looking for better ones or trying to get it so all those in my set face the same direction... and with the advent of new gargish weapons I have a whole bunch more to gather...
And like a few I buy and grab every set of gold bricks I see... I have so much deco stuff it's not even funny but doing design and deco is a passion of mine.

Yea before long I plan to do some looking around for Glacial Debris, Where I used to live in the Carolina's this wasn't really possible, now that I live about an hour from Lake Erie that's different.
One of the things I like about Gems and Semi-precious Gems is how different they look before they are Cut. I could take pictures of them and make one of those "Match the Name with the Stone" type games with it and most people who would probably fail miserably.

In game, old prepatch blessed items (double blessed, blessed sewn, ect) even have a quirky old prepatch pair of red sandals that only have the (blessed) tag...somehow missed the 2nd tag added after the patch.
