Hi,

I have been trying to get a couple Power Crystals in the Exodus Dungeon and they are not playing friendly. I can kill the Golems outside, but they never seem to have a Power Crystal on them. I need advice on what skills and technique to use to kill the Exodus Minion. I have spent more on Insurance than the cost of the crystals, but I can not find any for sale on Chesapeake. You advice and wisdom will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Katrena

Personally I like to bring my ABC:

120 Archery
120 tactics
120 anatomy
120 bushido
110 healing
80 resisting spells
80 chiv

70s suit, 35 DCI, 40 LMC
150/134
150/184
22/78

I have two different tactics in fighting these

1. I will honor my self, run in and lure everything I want to kill to a place of my choosing

2. Use invisibility potions, similar tactic to #1

Hi,

I have several templates, but nothing fancy. All have 70 Resist suits, but I really can't see that it helps me that much. I do have GM Hiding and Stealth I could use if needed. I have a Mage with GM Magery, Eval, Med, I have a Mystic with GM Mysticism, Magery, Eval, Meditation, Resist, Inscription and Legendary Imbuing, I have a warrior with GM Chilvary, Focus, Swords, Tactics, Parring, Anatomy and Legendary Healing. I also have a Legendary Tamer, but my understanding is that pets will not attack Exodus Minion. I have also GM'ed "running for my life" these past few days.

Thanks, Katrena

Have your pets to guard you, and attack the minion, then invis.

I pull them out of the smaller building attached on the side. I drag all the controllers away first so I have free run of that place. Any para ones You can drag off too if need be.

You tried the swords warrior?
What weapon are you using?
I personally found a cold weapon to work the best.
Soulseeker works well, if memory serves me correctly.
I believe poison or energy weapons do well also but have little experience with this.
Make sure your warrior has 45% DCI on that all 70's suit (including shield and jewelry) and whack away with a soulseeker (the life leech on that helps too).

The easiest way is to go kill meers, they drop power crystals now too. Just watch your karma.

Bard is good. I have a bard on Chessy if you don't have one and want help.

I play Chessie and have a bunch of power crystals. I'll give you a couple.

I was just in there doing the Spellweaving quest with a Mage/Mystic Stealther and a Mage/Mystic/Poisoner. Both just hid or went invisable to break the mobs target-lock when needed and then moved quickly out of range before the monster targeted them again. The chaos magic of Mysticism seems very effective on the mobs in there. Anything paragon I just stayed away from when I could.

I just put my main crafter with 60 skill points in Magery (other 660 skill is all crafting) into his combat armor and took him into that dungeon. He was able to take out every monster type in there that wasn't a paragon using Mind Blast, one EV, and a mage crossbow with 59 effective magery skill. I'd say just go in with a ranged attack character, try to only take on one at a time, and stay out of melee range.

I was intimidated by exodus mobs from the days they first arrived and had the magic shield that had to be wore down before you could hurt them. I tried that Sanctuary monster convention quest repeatedly for Spellweaving because I knew the exodus monsters would wipe out my characters immediately. As I found out when I did the Exodus Spellweaving quests, they are not bad at all. Stay out of reach and have room to back out of range and heal when you need to, and you will likely be fine.

My fond-of-crafting hide has learned how to give more lumps than I take hunting mobs over the years. :)

I go in there with my Bushido/Chivy Archer. I typically lure away anything I don't want to deal with to another area of the dungeon.... use and invis pot to lose the hate... then go back and take care of just what I want.

I use honor on my target.... enemy of one and lightning strike...

Don't have too many problems the Paragons can be a bugger but generally no problem.

Another good template is a mage or mystic casting EV's or the RC.

Killed tons of them that way and filled my musicbox while I was at it.

Hi,

Thanks for all of the fantastic advice and offer for Crystals. I tried the small camp and that worked fine until a paragon spawned. I then put stealth on my mage and tried the dungeon. Instead of luring the one I wanted to kill to a safe spot, I lured everything that I didn't want to kill away from the spot. Actually, I didn't lure them, they chased me as I ran for my life. I stealthed back to the spot and started killing the exodus overseer with EV's and that worked great. I was able to kill all I needed without anything else returning.

Thanks, Katrena
