Sometimes I let my mind wander when I read stratics as to how other players Play UO....
Often I am at my desktop with dimmed lights and beverage of some kind and ignoring the obnoxious childrens program that often assaults my television...However at this moment I am kicked back in my recliner on my laptop with a Soda....pretty lazy....

Though not as bad as when I play the Wii with the kiddos and I just sit in the recliner hehehe...

So my silly question is...
How "bad" or "lazy" does your gametime get?

Sometimes, I sit at the computer, listening to anime or game soundtracks.. often I will be eating a meal at the same time.

The music for dot Hack or Record of Lodoss Wars works well as background for UO play.

Usually I play with a tinychat room in the background and ventrillo, skype, msn, aim and icq all open and running as well as stratics, kotaku and a few other sites. I was thinking of making a UO tinychat but I don't think anyone would use it. My bed is right behind my desk so I just fall onto it whenever I get tired enough to sleep then wake up the next day and go to work. Yeah, not much has changed since my college days (which wasn't that long ago, to be fair).

After a hard day at work. I get home, cook some food. Sit down and put my headset on with music, skype, teamspeak, msn and icq going. Just to try and drown out the girlfriends constant nagging. Until I get tired enough to fall into bed.

laptop w/ separate flatscreen on a table in front of where I sit on the couch, 42" plasma just beyond that, which stays on a retro tv channel.

If the wife's home, I'll have headphones on because the tv will be on that dancing w/ the overweight stars program, ug

Television is something you need to get out of your life.

There's still good TV. Only bad thing is that it's almost limited to BBC America (Top Gear, James May's Road Trip, Dr Who and sometimes Gordon Ramsay).

Aside from that there's always Netflix and/or OnDemand to find actual good series that have already aired to watch in a block... we just got through two seasons of Lie to Me which is a fun series if you're in to psychology and behaviour quirks.

As for UO, I have UO on the center monitor, Firefox open to several pages on the right monitor, and Pandora, ICQ, and other smaller programs on the left monitor (this of course is when I'm NOT doing UI texture work in which case all 3 monitors are running Gimp and Notepad2 (for XML tweaks) pretty heavily.

The left hand monitor is also a TV for the times when I do need to watch something on TV while on the computer, but rarely gets used as a TV these days.

The desk is lit up via LED lighting, mostly "backsplashed" behind the monitors onto the wall as well as a couple of small LED light strips under the desk levels (i.e. under the shelf the monitors sit on and then under the main desk level shining on the keyboard drawer).

Awesome dude! I want the background that's on the far left monitor. Is that little led's under the shelves, or on something behind?

It's an old one... I changed it a while back, but I'll see if I can find it online.

Yes, those are little adhesive LED strips under the shelves, There's also a set of LED "puck" lights behind the monitors pointing up (they're mainly undercabinet lights you can get a Lowe's) and the bulbs in the floor lamp on the right are also LED.

As for me I get home from a long day or two days of work... (Monday is always after 2 days of work)...

I pet each of the 4 dogs... Zeus, Razor, Hazel and the piggly wiggly(Call her that cause she snorts like a pig). Then I sometimes pop into my son's room to get my kitty fix..... petting Margie, might talk to my son a bit.

Talk to the girls see what they been up too.... maybe mention supper and ask when it is and what we are having....

Wander up to my room... fire up the beast.... and my 42" flatscreen HDTV... I read Stratics first thing, Check my eggs/hatchlings in the Dragon Cave, maybe check Mythic.... then check my email.... then I fire up Trillion.... (with MSN, ICQ and YaHoo... ) See if anyone is on... check into Vent. (whine at folk in icq to get into vent)... Then I start working skills usually on some character or another.... with my right hand on my mouse and my left hand on my Logitech G-13.

While I do that I sometimes listen to some either hard rock or oldies... ranging from ABBA and Air Supply to Roger Miller and Simon and Garfunkle...... Or I'm listening to Disturbed, Creed, Nickleback.... Rob Zombie... Ozzy... or something along those lines... just depends on my mood.

Sometimes I will work on writing a story or two... Or make a sig for someone... or something.

Usually don't do any one thing for very long before I'm off doing something else.

ADD or something I don't know.

And on a good day I relax and play with my Granddaughter.
