You know the dudes in Heartwood who want you to kill some earth elementals or daemons or whatever? Those quests that nobody EVER does because the rewards are utter garbage nobody wants?
Those should give reward trophies (call them something else, whatever you want) that the community collections will accept in exchange for points. Preferrably a pretty fair number of points.
This requires very little development overhead and accomplishes three things:
1) Gives players a new semi-randomized thing to do, something that gets them moving around the world a bit instead of just finding a spawn and camping it.
2) Makes those quests that are sitting there useless have a point for the first time since they were added years ago.
3) Gives players who don't want to script-craft a billion bucklers (or something stupid like that) a way to work toward community collection rewards.
It seems like a no-brainer. As it stands, I have no idea what the design intent of community collections even is, besides getting people to craft tons of garbage.
