Because it has now become funny to read. And just like all of Popps threads where he says he is speaking for the little guy this one is no different. He is the little guy.

No popps. Whether this global thing happens or not, I will never again run vendors on Europa. My pricing ethic doesn't fit today's game, except on Siege.

I price by 'how much did it cost me to make it' + reasonable profit.
Today prices are set by 'how much can I gouge out of a player'.

Case in point: Potions cost exactly the same amount to make as they have always done and rather less in time since the 'make max' addition to the crafting gump, yet how much do they sell for now compared to 4 - 5 years ago?

On Siege I sell a filled spell book at 6k, bone machetes at 2k, orange petals at 400gp per. These, to me, are reasonable prices. Tell me what these items sell for on mainstream shards?

Popps, I missed the example of items your are talking about.

Petra the items you sell for 6k, 2k, and 400 gold. Sell the same here or close on my vendors.

They are fair prices and what I call no issues. They make gold. They stay the same.

I think popps is hiding the fact he wants global search for good high priced stuff.

As for force interaction... you all sould like politicians going to extremes.

Choice and force arent good or bad. And arent always options.

IN a game you need balance. Another political statement of saying little.


There has to be a reason for players to interact beyond choice and you cant force players to interact... that is where th game has failed.

Aside from 500000000k monsters and operating cannons... this game requires little interaction.

Flea market in uo a great idea. all can go to bizaare and shop till they drop. Think of it as comic con with booths and lots of people. And yes the coolest booths are owned by corporations and the better of as it was put. but whats the problems with this? I see this as a win win situation. the ones complaing have no idea what they are talking about. and are more than likely not to participate. thats fine leave the fun to us. Just hope its got lots of flash at this market cause I love a good show. And remember they would have to put prices low low cause there not constant vendors.That means savings to us consumers.Make it like a state fair with lights and games go for the gusto.
