Has anyone bought this?

I just want to know if its rechargable.
The gamecodes site doesnt say.

I have one with 18 charges left. They cannot be recharged.

Be warned, also, that you will need an EMPTY runebook and one BLANK rune and one MARK scroll for each location being copied. The reason I warn is that you will need to think about how much time it will take to get the needed items comparied to simply going around and re-marking locations manually. I've being cursing non-stop since it takes me too long to make MARK scrolls and no one on GL sells them. The pen is a good idea if you have the scrolls or can quickly make them, but otherwise a waste of TIME.

If you've got to go through all that, might as well mark the books manually. I guess that made the decision for me never to buy one of these.

You made the right decision.

Each of my characters carries three standard runebooks: Trammel Cities (full), Home Book (10 locations), and Trammel Dungeons (full). I really don't know which was worst with the Pen of Wisdom. Was it that it took a million years to make 42 mark scrolls for each set of books? Was it the fact that it took forever and a day to find BLANK runes? Or, was it the choice of making a blank rune book with all its required resources, or the time-consuming act of emptying a runebook one rune at a time and falling asleep at the keyboard? You tell me.

I've got one of these and I love it! When I'm setting up new player kits, I always include a rune book with runes to Haven, starter dungeons and the like in it, and this thing has saved me so much time.
