Magincia Public Gardens

When I first heard about it, I loved the idea! Getting my own little flower Patch, growing stuff, harvesting good - fantastic! Couldn"t wait for it!

But now I finally got around to read that pdf they posted concerning New Magincia and found this: "Unlike plants grown in plant bowls, public garden plants will not produce resources or seeds"

WTF? Why?

This pretty much kills this idea for me, because why should I plant anything when i can"t get resources from it? Just for a plant with a name tag? This will get old very quickly after you have a handful of plant with your name on it. The other way around - having outdoor plant yield more resources - would have ensured the long time use of the outdoor gardens. As it is, they will probably become pretty barren within a few month at max.

Shame for a good idea that they didnt follow it through.

Well, what do you expect when one of the devs read a thread that mentioned blue crystals being used to help rebuild Magincia, then they had to scramble to find out what the hell they were, and finally, they only had a couple of days to add them into the "system".


Dev 1: One of the players on Stratics mentioned the dev team stating that blue Crystals would be used in rebuilding Magincia!

Dev 2: What are blue crystals?

Dev 3: What is Magincia?

Dev 4: We are rebuilding something?

Dev 1: I guess so. I researched it and we did say that, so we better do something. It doesn't really matter what.

Dev 2: Quick, one of us should open an account and see what this is all about.

When did they say that? I suggested they be a high-value turn-in item for Spring Cleaning to Cal, but he shot that down (at least in response to my suggestion).

I'd prefer that to this half-baked idea.

I keep telling myself to remain optimistic. I doubt anyone has many more than 300 blue crystals. What do you think the odds are that to get a good item, lots of blue crystals will be required? Or that one blue crystal will have the same value as some common, easy to save, easy to stack item?

Doubleplay the optimistic thinks that the blue crystals will buy some new and really neat masks like a hydra. Perhaps they will buy some special runes to the fishing emporium. Heck, perhaps they could be used like a summons, with a list of new monsters to use in the fight.

ha actual im sure that some how the team is mad at us for bringing it up so much and is nothing more than a thorn in their foot and will probable (as a punishment) make them worth about as much as a holiday card or less like maybe 25 or less so 300 blue crystals will get you a shirt that say I helped clean up uo.

since the flowers aren't going away and blue crystals are now kinda the equiv. of fertile dirt, I look for their re-introduction back into the game as drops or rewards.(the new ones of course stackable)

I doubt blue crystals would even be an issue if they had been stackable in the first place. I for one would not be concerned if there was no use for my three hundred crystals if they had been taking up only one storage slot for all this time (probably would not be able to find them).
