Not gaining with Golem...

Hi all,

I had my tinker make a golem for me to train on, and I must add that I've never trained on a golem before. From what I've read, I just have to issue the All Guard Me, All Stay and whack away.

The golem turns grey, I'm using a 100% poisoned skinning knife, in my Malas house, I'm not in a guild.

The golem doesn't seem to be taking any damage (looking at his health bar) and I'm at 85 Swordsmanship. I've been whacking away at him for a couple of hours and have not had a single gain...

What am I missing?

Try it while guilded, and add "all stop" between the "all guard me" and "all stay". See if that helps. The golem should be taking 1 point of damage when you hit.

Didn't know I needed to be guilded... Thx, I'll try that.

That was interesting.... After guilding myself, I finally started gaining - but I looked away for a second and the dang thing killed me...

What am I doing wrong now?

I think I have it now... I told it to guard me again and didn't tell it to stop in time...
