Got a pic of stats? Looks like a mare? I know there was black horses available to be obtained a while back from haven guards I think it was? But I am pretty sure those were pitch black?
Ive seen this horse ingame. It is a horse and is darker than a regular short-mane faction guard horse.

Did you purchase it? If so what did the previous only say? I think this is the only horse I have seen like this ingame. I also think about the legitimacy of these animals.
Black Horses have been in game for quite a long time. Not sure on actual origin since it has been so long. My smith has one in stables. As for Price, I sold several (both shades) for around 10 mil 4 or so yrs ago. So over time less around for sale so would figure price went up a tad.
The previous owner had said that the horse was spawned at an event, I bought it on Chesepeake where I believe the event was. Based on the facts that it is still existent, I have been riding it around a lot, and the previous owner took it out in the public shows that it is either legal or grandfathered. Just because it is a unique color does not mean that it is an exploit or pertain to any other illegal accusation.
It is not an exploit and are completely legal. I have had mine for a long time, dunno about the event part but are rather rare.
With the comparison I am actually fairly certain that these were the guard horses, faction or haven guards I cannot remember but none the less I do believe this horse to be one of those. I used to buy them all the time for around a mil a piece and sell them for 5m.

I could be wrong of course. Only a comparison of the horse next to one of these old guard horses would truly tell us the difference

Wrong, the lighter hue ones were created via an exploit sometime ago and should not be considered a rare.
The nightmare its being compared to (the lighter of the 2) is the same exact color as the old faction guard horse. The horse in question is clearly darker than the faction guard horses.
*Cough* Do we really need to keep speculating? Someone post a pic of the old faction guard horse and (I'm assuming thats the black ones that were sold by the dozens at banks for years?) or another horse you think it might be and I'm sure we can clear this matter up fairly quickly.Only a comparison of the horse next to one of these old guard horses would truly tell us the difference
There was 6 different types of faction guard horses.
It started with a base horse, white, tan, brown, and long mane or short mane.
Once they were colored black, there was 3 different shades. The brown horse, being the darkest most popular.
I'm pretty sure the horse in the picture is a tan one (medium black).
It's been a while since i farmed these horses, but I'm pretty sure this is faction guard horse. Anyone in TB or Minax that controls a town, and want to go hire some lvl4 guards and check ?

I have not seen the screenshots since I can't while i'm at work. But in regards to the charcoal horse, no comment. I've made a personal decision though to stay clear of pets that have an unusual hue. As all of you know there have been a large variety of unusually hued pets over this past year alone. My suggestion, check the color code of the Dark or Shadow colored Air Freshner on test (if there is one) and then check the color code of this horse, see if they match? Good luck getting your money back though, or err your moneys worth!
