I'm actually curious, there are tons of arguments on EC vs CC here. That UO only needs one client and it should be {X} client not {Y} client.
If they were to add an option to the EC, to allow it to display current CC art, with the EC's hotbar/macro/menu set up, would you then consider switching over? Instead of developing 2 clients it would be strictly artwork instead of art work plus two totally different back end designs on the client programs, only 1 set of patches to prepare to send out etc. It might still take more resources than 1 client alone, but it would be less than the resources involved with developing and maintaining two totally different clients.
The way I see it, it's a win-win. The CC folks would get to keep the graphics they adore, as well as gain the benefits of a more robust macroing system, and the EC folks would get everything they have now, plus there would be more attention focused on debuging and improving the EC as a whole.
