For this reason... test center will never be taken seriously. Some few can ignore it. The only time test is playable is when they are not testing.

Some folks can ignore it. Some can not.

Actually i would like that gms take action there so the offenders take hits on their real shard, it should have the same rules as prodo shards as far as speech goes, here a few minutes ago i had someone tell me "i am going to f-ing R-word your mother, you f-ing N-word"

One last thing about this comment. In civilized society thats exactly what you have to do. Freedom of Speech. Once again you seem to be a very self centered person. If you don't like what someone is saying move a distance that the words / language no longer falls upon your ears.

They weren't "responsive" on test, back when "the UO team" >claimed< to have GMs

If we had gms on test, all the little kids like toxic would come here complaining about being banned for their despicable language. And no, I don't mean casual swearing, I mean the over-use of racial slurs, bigotry, etc. People who do whatever they can to spread hate and get people mad. This has always been a problem on test. I can ignore personally, but I get very tired of it. But many others can't ignore it.

joking aside, I'm glad this came up. Not glad for the reason, but glad it made me think about it.

My youngest has been after me for some UO time recently. They make tailors and do the dress up thing, and make houses, fight mongbats, that kind of thing.

Dad will be needing to make sure profanity filters are in place and all chat channels are "off" before letting them sit in front of the console.

Wasn't there a reward system for turning in bugs at one point? Its a shame voon never caught on and there is no in game voice data. Specialized chat channels would only work if enough people were in on the channel. It could be something worth thinking about.

I am a Stratics mod and an almost exclusive Siege player. I have a thick skin. I can ignore the worst. Some players can not/will not tolerate that kind of abusive language. I can not hold them at fault.

that is to their own policy on harassment, with stiffer and stiffer legislation laws going on the books every day about threating remarks including making idle threats, and racially motivated comments, just how seriously does EA take this type of nonsense on their own servers, Cal and messana both have been sent a message along with a reference number yet messena was online a bit ago and not even reading the message, yes return receipt was checked on the messages. Called the 1-866 number, was told by support on EA games telephone that there was a problem with Ultima Online and that only Billing issues were being handled beyond that nothing was available through the telephone service, which is fishy in itself.

I agree, people should definitely be allowed to use racial slurs ingame with no repercussions from the GMs. If you're offended by the use of such words you shouldn't be playing a T rated game. Oh wait..
