Hoes in New Magincia

Howdy all,

I just finished reading the posts on the main boards about the New Magincia and all of the changes! I saw that in order to participate in one of the new features you have to buy a hoe from a merchant. I don't know about you, but I am pleased that UO has finally added hoes to the game. It's an important element to role play and I think it will add some unique features to Magincia. I just hope the hoes are not priced too high so make folks like me without a lot of money can still buy one and participate. It's great that this activity, usually restricted to some pot in your house, is now something that will be done out in the open for everyone to see.

Kudos, Devs, for bringing hoes into the game. I am anxious for the start so I can be one of the first to buy a hoe and try this new gameplay out!

*cant resist* I dont think you can just "sell back hoes," as you usually just pay for them and then they leave. A personal hoe that you can keep idefinitely, well i dunno i think that would cost a very large sum of gold. I dunno, maybe mail Charlie Sheen for more info.

I think I read that you can only use the hoes in the public areas of the town. That might make some folks uncomfortable as they usually like to do this kind of work in the safety of their own home. Others might come along and tarnish their work or something. I wonder if the hoes decay? Can you leave them, say, on the corner plot and let the next guy come by and use them on his plot?

If I win a plot I might consider building a store of somekind specialising in such items. For all the Gardeners. I do wonder how many and what kind of customers I'd get at Ashlynn's Harrowed House of Hoes. It'd be interesting to see I think.
