Corgul instant death?

A strange thing happend today, my friend and i doing corgul we killed all monsters around him and puff Corgul instant death in the palisades on the island, i got an item and friend not. Corpse was there but why? A bug or a feature?

do it again and see what happens ? sounds like a one-time bug.

This is true the map timeout was very low on my map too.
