i have 500+ pieces in my castle courtyard and my super computer is just fine thanks
I am sure the many many other players who store blackrock this way will also disagree with you, so I think maybe you are bitter as you dont have a castle and cannot store your own THATS what i think
so please, more thought before rash statements, or PROVE your theory
Jack mate, I have been mining the last week. The script miners are dumping their blackrock in caves and where ever they are mining. I have seen piles of 120 black rock all over the place and i would sugest there is over 2000 bits around the area i was mining.
I too have a castle full of it inbetween my castle. But it must slow server back ups down, where all these miners are dumping it

YES!!!!!!!!!! as far as i know there are only a few diff types of small blackrock so yes pls make them stack!
also can u mark a rune to thes elocations as i am collecting the stuff! gimme a call in chat? pls?
I will mark runes for you jack, theres enought to keep any man happy. But you got to ask your self, do you want to profit from Scripters, knowing that it is scripted cast off's?

problem is there's at least 5-6 different versions, maybe more, they need to make them all the same First (just talkin smallest ones). I had a bunch out front of my house, lasted 2-3 days, then all went Poof (on LS). I carry 1 piece, insured, on my dexxer

I'd much rather have 5-6 stacks (even though I think there are only 4 different types) than thousands of individual pieces (which is about what I have on the roof of my castle! And Those pieces in front of your house probably didn't just "poof", but were most likely picked up by someone who had a use for them or disposed of it themselves.
Regardless, it seems like something needs to be done with blackrock, either making it stack or have another use besides blackrock stew, as too many people are "storing" it out in the open, so just turning on decay would probably **** a lot of people off...
If you think it a problem go run arround shouting the armageddon spell and blow it up! yourself included but hey can allways get a rez

Small Blackrock doesn't decay because it was intgroduced as an "easter egg hunt" style of event. Since that eventis LOOOOOOOONG since over, they should at the very least change them over to use the decay timer.

If I need to provide evidence that masses of useless items cause lag, I introduce test shard as my exhibit A.
Where do people mine nowadays? Because on Atlantic I just wandered all the way around the Minoc mining area + the mountains north of Minoc + the Serpent's Spine Mountains (from north of the hedge maze up to Compassion desert over to Yew and all the way back down again) and only came up with about 70 pieces. I'm not seeing these 2000 you're talking about.
Edit: Okay. I just switched over to Felucca, and just in the Brit farms guard zone area, I got 111. Then I hit that cave up in the far top left corner, and found another 50 pieces. So touché, you win.

I miss the voices keeping me company while hunting.
If you feel civic minded, grab a +10/11 Necro book and Blood Spirit tali and craft a set of necro/ss jewels and sumoon a Horde Minion. They will passively vacuum-cleaner up a small mountain of BR then you dismiss it and summon another...

I got all excited when I read that small blackrock was all over the mining areas, so yesterday I took my miner and made a tour of the most popular places. None on the ground around mountains, none in the caves, and I hit at least 16 of the most popular mining spots on Sonoma. Hmmm, where you seeing all this stuff?
Have you tried Ter-Mur? Esspecially those small secluded areas that can only be reached with a rune or by flying? Some scriptors seem to love them. Other than that you could check obsolete rune book collections for mining higher ore.
Sounds like someone is hoping there will be another blackrock turn-in. If I remember correctly, the last one resulted in obtaining valorite hammers and rare artifacts for just one piece of blackrock. Hrmm. Either that or you are infected with the blackrock disease. Let's slay you and see if we can loot a black crate.

Keep checking likely mining areas. Try different times, others may be looking for them just like you.

only If you are in the castle, try running around other peoples castle you will be fine i am sure
If the blackrock is not locked down in the castle, the rules for things not loading until you enter the house/castle don't apply to them.
They'll be there for anyone when they enter the "update range" of their client, causing a fairly noticeable drop in performance.
okay well you're entirely incorrect and are blatantly just one of the folks hording the stuff for a turn in.
The courtyard loads to anyone outside a house because it's NOT IN A HOUSE.
so why dont you start collecting it if its such a prob, instead of asking for it to be deleted that will affect players like me that have been hording it for YEARS, why not ask if it can be make STACKABLE, then we can keep our blackrock and YOU dont need to be concerned about what you dont have?
so pls ask that question, and even with it on the screen it does NOT slow me down when i run past the castle
is this all you have to be concerned about? just dont run past a castle with blackrock in if it is such a problem to you
Since Omnius is talking about the blackrock kept in castle courtyards, would collecting it not affect players who are hoarding it in their courtyards in a functionally similar manner to getting it deleted?

Specifically, that's having +5000 Ophidian loyalty, from killing the Bane. You have to get the Rotworm Stew recipe from the Underground, but that's easy.
Individual pieces carried still let you attack through Dark Wisp shields in Ilshenar and the Stygian Abyss (both the fey spawn and the Fel champ area)
I had "quit" when they run the last scheme, however i am somewhat of a magpie and what i really would like is to make them stackable
looking at the rares forum there are about 5 diff shapes of small blackrock, I have also aske dthe question, if they can be made stackable, then i can add them to my imbueing crafting ingredients container
THAT is the main motivation, using them for events in future is a nice bonus
What wouls also be awesome, if they could be used to make imbueing ingredients somehow, like crystalline blackrock etc
So how aobut more people ask the question "can it be stackable"
that stops any lag issues that may happen, but also the magpies amoungst us dont lose our shinies and players wont have to worry about running past castles etc with cluttered courtyards
