Spell Trigger - Bombard (enhanced client)

'Spell Trigger' allows players to store Mysticism spells in an item that can be used later without having to cast called a 'Spell Stone'.

This only happens on the Enhanced Client, but after I select Bombard to store in my spell stone, I cannot get a target to come once double clicked. As this is one of the best finishers in a PvP setting, it's extremely frustrating to not have access to this ability.

I have no issue with this when using the Classic Client. Is this happening anyone else using the Enhanced Client?

Can we get a developer response on this issue? Is this issue known? Can it be fixed?

drop the spell stone in a hot bar and single click it? That may work!

I do have it like that already, and it doesn't work. Also, clicking it in my bag doesn't work. This is with the current patch and no mods installed.

Sometimes you have to "advanced target" your target first (thats when the round turning thingy appear around your target) and single click it off your hotbar.

If you're using the default enhanced client targeting system (non-legacy) then right click the Spellstone on your hotbar and change it's target.

Maybe that's the case.

I am using Enhanced Client's Default Targeting and the target is set to 'Cursor'. This works for every spell but Bombard.

spelltrigger stone droped in macro and set to curser: then wait for target: then curser target current

make sure also that your myst book has the spell in it and also make sure it is inj your main pack ! IF you have another myst book in your bag thats empty it may be trying to read from the empty i had this problem a few months ago

Just attempted that and it didn't work for Bombard, but worked for two other spells so far.

Not many PvPers actually use the enhanced client it seems, so I'm assuming this issue hasn't come up, but a developer needs to look into this.

ok I just went to TC and set up my garg and it works fine for me!

I have the same issue. Reported it as a bug.

As I don"t play my mystic in PvP it doesn"t bother me much, but of course this needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

1st thing is Do you have more than 1 mystic book?
2nd is the book equipped ? is it in main pack? does it have all the spells in it?

The reason i ask these things is IT MAY not work right if the book is not equipped or in main pack or if the spell is missing from one of the books if you have multiples!

I know this because I had the same problem you are having a few months ago!

I would test it on my main mystic but I have no 120 scroll and there is not even one for sale on my shard atm!

Last night, after we discussed this, I tried again on the main shard and it seemed to be working, up until today when I actually tried to target another player with it and it stopped working and defaulted back to not giving me a cursor again.

I did have two Mystic Books, and both were full. One is a Corgul's Handbook on Mysticism, and the other is an expectational book. I tried removing the exceptional Mystic book from my back and nothing changed; however, when I removed the Corgul Mystic Book, it did work again.

So it seems the issue is having two mystic books in your bag. This should definitely be addressed. It doesn't seem too big of an issue ditching the Corgul Handbook, since the Necromancy version has the same properties.

I would have never thought to remove the books or anything like that, so I am glad you went through this experience. Thanks again because I seriously cannot wait to have Bombard usable in my Spellstone.

i didnt get a chance to test this out yet, have been kinda taking a break for the last few days. so what does your bombard macro look like, did you just drop it in a hotbar and set target to cursor?

The macro is fine its a problem with the books
it is a known issue just rarely seen

i found this forum when looking for a solution top this problem. even though its years later, in case someone else stumbles here, a solution i found was to cast the spell bombard manually then for some reason it worked for the spellstone as well. i got the idea from testin the spell stone with different spells and realized that bombard was the only one i didnt cast with using the trigger.

I am not positive but I seem to remember one of the devs saying this was being fixed recently!
