I realize this may not be the appropriate forum for this. However, since i know many of you are the warriors im seeking out for such items, i figured i'd give this a shot anyways:

Buying 100% poison damage exceptional weapons (for 500 intensity imbuing)
Will take consideration for weaps with all elemental damage (anything but physical) preferably not energy. Will consider non exceptional weaps on a case by case basis.

Can be something like 40% fire 30% cold 30% poison. Things like that. Will pay the most for 100% poison
must have no properties other than:

damage increase
hitspell (will consider velocity on weaps)
hit lower defense
balance(if archery weap)
swing speed

if wooden - cannot be made out of any material other than regular wood (so it can further be enhanced)

specifically looking for:

comp bow
magical short bow
heavy crossbow
regular bow
crossbow
bokuto
ornate axe
warfork
spear
leafblade
war hammer
waraxe
bardiche
bone harvester

Paying the most for the 100% poisons, specifically bokuto, the bows, ornate. others will be considered on a case by case basis. Will also consider non-exceptional weaps on a case by case basis. will pay very well if you end up having what im looking for.

Post what you have here, personal message me, or icq me at 382-462-294

Sorry, on greatlakes i possible, will transfer if someone has several of the better items im looking for.

poison is one of the more common elementals i seem to get, have you tried banging out your own with dc runics? i got more poison and poison fire than I did good cold elemental. also probably your server would help

I could probably find you a double axe or maybe a ornate, but I'm on Chessy.

If you do decide to burn some hammers, take it from me who recently decimated the dull copper and shadow hammer population on chessy. I had slightly better results with the shadow hammers for some reason but you stand a greater chance of getting useless mods. Use iron, I started by using colored ingots to target specific elemental damage but found I missed out on some that could have been enhanced to a different 100% elemental than what I was chasing at the time. Out of maybe 300 (lost count) hammers I kept 7 100% elementals, I trashed maybe another 5 that had useless mods. Of the 7 I kept 3 had to be enhanced to hit 100%. Right now I have 100% energy, (2) cold, and poison double axes with only stamina or mana leech waiting to be imbued. I also got a few 100% ornates that are decent, but have DCI which I don't need.

I burned 27 oak runics and 4 DC hammers and got crap hehe. Only a handful of things like 30% fire 20% poison 50% cold. Not a single thing with 100%s unfortunately.

I haven't gotten to far into the metal weaps yet, it may be a project for tonight, i have around 30 dc hammers left i think. I just wanted to put this out on the boards in the hopes of finding these items faster. Gold is not an issue =/

Thanks for the tips!

While doing wooden weaps i also noticed that i was getting slightly better results from ash instead of oak. Hmm! just more chance of crap mods tho =(

you will have better luck with metal. here is what I would do:

1) use iron ingots
2) use dull copper runic hammer (or shadow hammer, but that increases chance of unwanted mods)
3) if your chance of creation/exceptional is not acceptable and you don't want to waste supplies you can always boost it with +15 ancient hammer (or +30 if you are livin life large)
4) while making them, refer to this material bonuses chart as you will be able to take some and enhance them to be closer to 100%. enhancing will take any physical damage on the weap and turn it into elemental. some ores have 2 elemental damage type, that means DOUBLE the chance for enhance failure. if you are ok with fire on your weap Bronze is a 40% fire enhance.
5) use mining and smelt the unwanted for ingots back, or unravel for essence/residue as necessary
6) if you enhance any to boost their elemental dmg factor i would use an ancient hammer to up your chances of not failing. reason being i blew up a 90% cold weap that took me approx 2 weeks for the rng to create. and had i used ancient hammer it would have had a better chance of not blowing up.

ive never tried elemental bows before, i think you will need to rely on drops. dull copper runics are relatively cheap while runic kits are expensive. i have found plenty of mod-less elemental weapon drops off the minos in miasma's lair. keep in mind if the bow/weapon you want (yumi) is from a certain expansion (tokono) you would have to hunt the expansion to get it. i have some stuff but i am on sonoma.. we still dont know your server dood!

Another important thing to remember is the order the material bonuses are applied. Make sure you enhance with the right metal.

Cold
Energy
Fire
Poison

I edited my original post to add great lakes. Will also transfer to other places to pick things up if someone happens to have several of the better items.

I agree metal will be much easier, which is another reason i am looking to purchase much of it. I have seen low mod 100% elemental exceptional bows, but they are few and far between. I'm aiming at exceptional so it can be imbued to 500 intensity. If i don't find them over a short period of time i will probably look into getting non exceptional bows atleast.

Has anybody found a decent source of elemental throwing weapons in the abyss? I dont have a thrower yet and am wanting to try one out. Or should I also buy up dc hammers and go after it that way?

I'd recommend dull coppers for the throwing weapons as well. If you have the patience to hunt though, I've looted 100% SA weapons from silver serpents, undead guardians, and toxic sliths.

i just used DC runics. i needed the DI to reach 100 (though I have 70 DI on my suit)

frankly after reading a recent comment from one of our resident braniacs, and understanding mechanics better, I'm almost of the mind a 100% elemental is not required. i'd apply the 80/20 rule: 20% of the effort to get 80% of the result. so instead of going for 100 cold on a rikky slayer, i'm more than fine with my 60 cold/40 energy.

here's why. AI ignores resists. and you should be setting yourself up for chain AI, or at least LOTS of AI's. therefore, the only time the resist matters is when you are not AIing- lightning strikes or regular hits.

my rikky killer is 60 cold/40 energy- it doesnt even matter i have that 40 energy on there because half or more of my hits are AIs and the damage ignores the elemental nature of the weapon and still does 230-244 dmg anyway. if I notice i'm low on mana and I need to lightning strike then I'll pop consecrate and then go back to AI's when I get full again.

a consecrate lightning strike hit can be a little higher than an AI in dmg as ai only does 90%.

so from now on i wont bother to try to get 100% elementals. i mean if i get one, awesome, makes my life easy. but, if i dont, ill be fine with a 60%+ and not kill myself crafting thousands of weapons for 2 weeks like i did to get my 90% cold soul glaive... which then broke upon enhance. DOH

good thoughts!

My purposes are a bit different in that I am looking to train on an arctic ogre lord.
