How do people find out what was in a patch?

How do people always see the hidden stuff in patches? I always see spoilers on the forum showing things like arts and lines of text from new patches and I'm curious how they find that.

Artwork is found by poring through the *.mul files with Inside UO, text is found by poring through the cliloc files.

Yup, The text is in a file called cliloc and you can open it with note pad or word pad.

Another good thing to do is dump a copy of that Cilioc file to a .txt file. Then when the next patch comes along make a second one the same way and get a program like Winmerge for Windows Users or Kdiff, Kompare, etc. for Linux folks.

By loading both of these Cilioc files into them it will highlight the differences for you so you don't have to pour through the entire thing every time they do a patch you can go straight to the new stuff.
