A list of Personal bless deeds I have

Since everyone views this area the most I do think this is the best place to post this.
I've had players over the years try to buy these for some reason or another.Thank god I didn't sell them since they never belonged to them in the first place.

I have a bunch on GL's that aren't mine I always thought to make a list but you know I tend to forget over time. I know I have some blessed clothing items too that someone has used their bless deed on. Infact at one time I really thought about setting up some sort of Personal item exchange. Where I'd have things like Soulstones on display set to anyone so folk looking for "theirs" could find them. But then I figured that I didn't have the space for such an undertaking.

Personal bless deeds should never have been items. They should have been a character ability that you access from the Shift+Click character context menu. That way if you somehow lose the item you blessed for yourself, you can go to the context menu, select "Unbless," and then have the ability back again so you can bless something else.

In other news: I predict that griefers are going to create characters that match some of those names so that they can trick you into handing them over.

Lost all mine a long time ago except my mule and my tamer =( actually lost one because it was on a weap locked down on my steps when there was a bug that items fell under house steps =(

Negatory. I tried again today just now and there is NO menu. I tried it in the EC and I tried it in the CC my bless deed has been on a gilded dress for a VERY long time. It will NOT come off.

No but I've always said they should re-do this. Return all personal deeds. Take them off whatever they are on and put them back in players backpacks. And give all those folk who never got one the opportunity to have have one. I have tons of characters that no longer have them or never got them.

I find it somewhat unfair. It should be like that +5 bonus they give out after your character is so old. A +5 bonus and a personal bless deed.

It should be account age on PBD at 5 years. All should be wiped and 5+ year accounts get the improved Bless. In the characters personal abilities table they have a bless item counter. Per count can bless an item. Like a Quest chain item, a blessed item can only be in backpack or on paperdoll.

Added a veteran account has enough gold that insurance is a minor annoyance. At 10 years ,15 and so on the account characters get an addition to their bless counter. Just wanted to add this for those that can't ride an eth ostard to complain they should have what someone with 13+ years has. Not that 15 x 12 x $10 means much.

The hell with F2P. Make it worth while for players to keep their accounts active. More the I pay why not play. Might be less of players popping in every 2 years for 6 months to be overwelmed.

That is a fantastic idea. It would be nice that ALL characters have one "personal blessed item" that works similar to the "owned by" talisaman -- the 'blessed' property would only work for the intended user of the item as opposed to alternate characters.

It is a left select and the unbless gump pops up.

P.S.
I gave my son my wife's old account and he wants to change the name and gender. Do personal bless deeds still work after that?

I tried and tried left clicking right clicking EC and CC can not take her bless deed off. However one thing I have noticed. She has had a name change since and that is probably the cause. I now can't retrieve my deed.... makes me wonder now if it will work for me at all now or not.

I did a name change and removed the PBD. The deed picks up the new name. The deed is character bound (#code) and not name bound. Why the Lord or Lady shows or not when redeeding. Not being able to remove one sounds like hitting the RNG of a GM helping.

Back in the day I used to buy all the Personal Bless Deeds i could find for whoever. I prob have over 500. Just as a collectors thing. Now I focus more on items with peoples PBD on them. Think I have around 70 items or more, including arties/marties and all manor of good/crappy things people blessed over the years. My tamer has 5 ppls PBD's on the armor he wears.

That's my point: If your character loses either the bless deed or the item that has been blessed, they are screwed out of having something personally blessed forever. (Not to mention the fact that new characters are screwed out of this from the get go.)

And the idea behind my griefer comment was that the griefers don't care that they can't use the deeds, they just want to trick the OP into handing them over for free so that they can turn around and sell the deeds for profit as decorations.

I had a Helm of Insight with Ian McStruan's PBD on it that was stolen 6-7 years ago from a Legends account. My LS and Legends accounts were hacked, and just Doom artis and Ethys stolen. Was able to replace all items through gameplay, except for the PBD...

You know thats probably my favorite item I have too. I have a shadow colored lamp/lantern 'Blessed for Dead Souls'. lol.
