Arcane Circle : explain this if possible....

This is totally inexplicable to me.

Britain Bank, spellweavers gathering on the circle to get a focus casting Arcane Circle.

There is 4 weavers in the circle. They still need a 5th one to get a level 6 Focus.

While waiting for a 5th weaver to show up they cast Arcane Circle, nonetheless.

And this is when the inexplicable happens.

Player A, a 120 spellweaver, casts Arcane circle and gets a level 4 crystal in the backpack (should be a 5 since there is 4 weavers there, already). RIGHT AFTER, player B casts arcane circle again and the crystal in player A backpack becomes a 5. This happens with NO ONE moving out of the circle at all. All weavers stand STILL in the middle of the circle.

The SAME number of weavers gets either a 4 or a 5 crystal depending on who casts AND, if the caster is the 120 weaver the level is the lowest (4) !!!!

This has been tried several times and ALL times the outcome was the same.

I can find no logical explaination to this, can you ?

maybe not all them are 120 and they are getting level 5 focus of just GM skill while the legendary is getting a level 4 of 120 skill, if that's how it even works.

If someone isn't within 20 points of the highest caster than someone else who is has to do the casting. Everyone needs to be within 20 points of the caster's skill.

This makes sense.

So if player B who gets a 5 is 100 skill and there is one in the circle at, say, 90 skill, since player A is 120 when A casts the player at 90 skill is not counted and therefore the focus comes out a 4 ?

If the 120 weaver casts, then everyone would need to be GM or higher in order to be counted, but if someone who is GM casts then they can pickup anyone in the 80-120 range. The advantage of the 120 casting is that the crystal has a longer timer.

A 120 weaver can get a L6 that last over 9 hours. Lower skill = less lifespan.

The level of the focus is what determines spell power enhancement.

So a L6 focus cast by a 120 weaver is the best of both worlds.

I've written off spellweaving since it's really dependent on your shard's population to make use of it. I like the idea of it requiring others, but I rarely see others even near Brit Bank and waiting a few hours to collect and maintain enough people from the chat channels is more hassle than it's worth.

If you have a low population just stone it off, grab 4 other humans and cast it. You will still get the 6 it just won't last as long. Then just stone the skill back on.

Sure, 10 is "over" 9 but so is 11 or 12 or 13 ...etc....

Just noting that 36,000 seconds is sharply and precisely 10 hours and not "something" over 9 hours .....

Correct. Casting focus with a higher spellweaving skill only extends the lifespan of the arcane focus gem.

When compared to extra lifespan that 120 weaving gives over 100 weaving, you will see that the bulk of the lifespan comes from the focus level.
