I have checked uo herald & there is no mention of as to what is going on. Does anyone know where else can go to check to see if they have any posts on this situation?

EA fired the hamster!
They seem very fond of saying they can communicate with us through Facebook and Twitter as well as UOHerald, but as yet there's nothing on those either.
At least we know they have the tools to talk to us with .....
Good start, if a bit slow. I don't greatly mind if it takes a while to get running again, stuff breaks and can be tricky to repair - but I'd appreciate knowing how things are going once they have some clue what has actually happened.
Still, time to catch up on sleep while they sort it out.
The timing of this, the day after downtime to work on server stability, is worrisome, ironic, and annoying.
Same for the Atlantic troubles earlier.

We've been working on this for awhile. Net Engineering has attempted to reboot the server remotely.
Currently they are sending folks directly to the box for a manual reboot.

I couldn't agree more, the timing sucks donkey &#$#! We're trying to get all this sorted.
I can tell you that we have everyone possible working on the networking and hardware issues, and hope we can put this all behind us soon,

Wel, just logged in to Europa and it seems to be working ... so thanks to whoever replaced the fuse!
One thing though - you've got to the problem fairly fast, solved it... and nobody's told us. I gather from talking over general that it's been back at least a couple of hours, so maybe someone should update the Herald and Twitter? You're allowed to tell the world when you get something right too, not just when it breaks

Cal, you guys really need to fix the issue with pets not stabling when the server drops.
Yeah if the server goes down because its server maintenance time well if you don't know better then stabling your pet before its your own fault but if the server crashs like it did last night and you lose your pets thats just unfair, so just adress it.
I lost a GD dragon last night that I spent hours to spawn, a week to bond, and days to train a friend of mine lost his dread horse.
Just dosn't seem fair to me.... so fix it!

If you can re-trace your steps, there's a chance you might find it. Pets have been recovered by working outwards from wherever you were, either when the shard went down, or if there was a revert, wherever you were at the point it's gone back to. Pets will 'fetch up' against the first obstacle they encounter. They won't show on your 'followers' till they're on screen with you.

Definitely, definitely, definitely.
I checked the boards, and I checked UO.com, and I thought, damn Europa's still down?, and I was filled with doubt and worry for the game.
If I never checked this thread I'd never have noticed it was back up, as I don't think I'd have thought to check the shard list for Europa or any shard I don't play on.
