its a freeking joke when uo does these stupid maintenance things all the time and they cant fix these D@MN crashing when goin through a gate or loggin in and out.. the LAGG.. get it right UO ,, what a joke

no crashing here either, on LS, and I use gates a Lot. only lag I get is Luna, but that's expected. might be something else going on
After the latest patch, I crashed a couple of time on both CC and EC.
But it was during active hunting, not recall/gate. Crash during gate/recall has a few causes. The one where you crashed as people on the screen were dragging stuff as you recall was fixed a few months ago I think.
See if recalling to less populous areas causes less crashes. If so, perhaps it's not fixed entirely.

I crashed 3 times today going through the moongate at Luna to Illsh. Spirituality. I thought it was just me...maybe not. I haven't had problems recalling/gating/sacred journey around otherwise...just going through that particular gate for myself. Operating in the Classic Client.

Although I prefer the EC to the CC, I'm now having a slightly higher frequency of crashes with the EC.
I can reproduce a crash from the Abyss entrance to Navery almost every time on two different machines.
Crashes on the EC, of course.
A single crash is one too many crashes when you're not in protection or in your house. I think they either need to visibly show support for the EC or pull the plug on it so the players can stop waiting.

EC is in such a place that to pull the plug would be bad for UO, I know a couple of people, myself included, that use it almost entirely.

If the plug was pulled on the CC, half the playerbase would quit.
If the plug was pulled on the EC, the other half of the playerbase would quit.
EA is stuck in a quagmire in which they have to continue supporting both clients till the end of UO, simply because pulling the plug on either client will spell the end of UO.
I have had frequent crashes with navery and the EC . One thing i found is when running through the wolf spiders on the way to Navery it slows down to a crawl almost crashing, when i get inside i invis and quit then restart seems to lessen the crashes for me.
Wtf does it matter if you're in protection when you crash?
So the spells that you aren't able to cast won't get disrupted?

This is an actual issue that manifests itself in several ways. The crash can either be automatic or semi automatic...depending on the situation and the pressing of keys.

Ever since the "Sonoma Maintenence", my EC has been suddenly closing and leaving me staring at the desktop. Real nice when you have faction oranges around too.
I've also noticed an increase in this crash.
This happen to me yesterday 3X within a 10 min period. All I was doing was roaming around and poof....desktop. It has happen before, but not as frequent as it does now, it happen 2X today in about a 1/2 hr. These were using the EC and on Atl. But, it has happen on LA also.
It is real and it does happen.
I've also noticed an increase in this crash.
This is happening to me several times a day now, three times to me yesterday and twice each to my kids. It just happened again. We play on Pacific.

Open up your Task Manager and watch the memory usage. On mine, it just keeps climbing as long as there are mobiles around. It keeps getting slower and slower, skipping video frames, until it finally crashes.
Crashed to desktop two more times since my last post.
Yes, I actually keep getting warning messages that UO is using too much memory. With 6 core processors and 8 gigs or ram--I should not be having any problems running UO.
