Obviously you haven't attempted to make the armor or weapons that are most affected.
Why are you even in the conversation?
Really?
it used to take at the very least if you know what your doing and if you are lucky about two or three hours a day for 2 1/2 weeks of farming for imbuing ingredients of all types in order to make one piece of armor. That is why people buy the supplies to help make the suit.
Now you can do that in about three days.
2 1/2 weeks? lol yeah I play six mages and two sampires spread across three shards, that's why I'm in the conversation. I know what to do in this game -- what to make, and how to make it -- and I do it myself. I'm sorry my do-it-yourself economy upsets you, but it's just an option, like buying stuff is an option. that's my point. it isn't hard to farm imbue ingreds or grow plants, and you get 1-2 relics per arty let alone from crafting the right thing. if it takes more than a week to make a suit you're probably doing the wrong thing or playing less than a half hour a day. are you just concerned because you SELL imbue ingreds? lol
I get tired of people who think uogamecodes is the end of UO -- or even the person who said they'd rather uogamecodes sell gold straight up. actually, I think that was
you who said you'd rather see that. did E-Bay kill UO? how about all the third party sites that exist now? oh, I guess the legitimate, EA-owned uogamecodes will kill UO then? lol relax. if anything, EA's lack of support will kill UO. I mean seriously, the graphics for UO -- discounting the EC -- haven't changed since 1997. EA feels like uogamecodes and boosters are the only way to keep UO profitable since the majority of the users have preferred to stick with the 2D client despite multiple attempts at an "upgrade," so if you like UO, you should be happy they are introducing items people will actually buy. otherwise, abandon ship.
UO will never have a gold sink, for one, and two, EA has shown little to no progress in stopping third party sites, the sale of gold, or the sale of anything else for real life currency. best course of action -- if you do sell imbue ingreds and feel as if you're being slighted somehow -- is to sell event rares. can't fail, there. otherwise, don't worry so much about UO's "economy." the people who choose to buy imbue ingreds will continue to do so until the end of time as new content and templates (as I said in my last message) force us to make changes.
