Anyone retaken a town captured by the Bane?

Has anyone retaken a town Captured by the Bane? There are only guards in those towns. Just wondering if all the guards have to be defeated at onces?

I have tried, but have not been successful. (was really hunting Katanas) Moonglow on Pac fell on day one. I have gone in and killed all the guards, but they always re-spawn somewhere. In fact I had the entire main city free and clear, but there were 5 or 6 guards in the Lyaceum, kill those and they re-spawn in town. I suppose maybe 6 Sammys at once to kill em, but somehow I doubt it.

I have to say I too doubt it. i think, for whatever reason, the demons still spawn because they are not tied to the war system, perhaps. not sure. or maybe so people have extra shots at katanas? hm. but it seems as if invasions end at server down, and that once they are done they are done until the next "wave."

Chessie Cove, Went there earlier. Just loads of guards yelling 'Victory to the Bane!'.

My take on it was that the guards stay to show victory....or you know, they won the town so they stay to defend it, even though they can not be beaten after they have won, I just tied it into the story.
