ophidian loyalty grind??

so i have to get 5000 loyalty points with ophidians in order to get the quest for the black rock stew recipe to feed my dragon. the problem is that the bane that spawn in ilsh and magincia only give 3 points of rep each

that means i gota kill like 1700 something banes, is there a faster way to do this? or do i have to kill them 1 at a time until i hit 5k loyalty...

Fighting in the invasion gives you way more points per kill than does fighting them in Ilshenar or Magincia.

Say "news" to the town cryers or to a Sherry statue. You will get the results of past battles and the site of the current battle (if any are going on).

It has to be a different character than the one used to fight the ophidians for the banes, or one would loose the Banes loyalty using that one character, right ?

well 5 points for each solo kill, less if peeps "help" when help is not needed, you only get 5 points for the guards, again if you solo, with a chance to get the virtue katana

I have just reached 5k points and completed the quest to get the blackrock stew receipe, it was a slog for sure, but I tried to keep away form the "helpers" as they were slowing me down

My tamer did enjoy teaming up with others tamers, some actually asked if I was trying to solo the guards, which is RARE but very wlecome game play, people that know me know that for example if I am fighting Navrey and others just wade in and die I am just too busy to res them, and yes it is a public instance, but still nice to announce yourself and be welcomed by others

this is the same with the invasions, and of course the self confessed "seeress" of a certain Europa Elven guild for example being as useless as ever luring guards, hiding behind you,and waiting for others to tank so she can flamestrike in safety, just shocking,and a seeress aswell lol, but if thats how she enjoys her time so be it, sadly more and more players are following this example of poor gameplay just to get the points they need
Oh and the players that follow the tamers and dragons around just to attack after the tanking is set up, super stuff!

I also enjoy doing my bit aswell to fed off the invading forces!

I happen to do that with my necro/mage. The big difference is whether or not the mage helps with the healing of pets and/or ressing of the tamers. (Which I do both).

I play on Napa and we are a smaller community, but we tend to help each other out as much as possible.

its great when u get a little team togther helping each other as you stated, sadl when u get followers who do nothing but wait for others to tank etc and then just wade in without a word said

Sorry; change it to "slightly more than double" and throw in the fact that there's a much more intense, more concentrated spawn.
