Character Copy?

I just hit the help button, and below promo code, is a new box that says Character Copy is not enabled on this shard? WTF is this, and when did it show up?

I dont hit help very often.

Interesting, I can confirm that it's there. I logged onto origin to see if it was something active there but it isn't.

I hope it doesn't do what it sounds like it's for...

The publish notes on it weren't terribly clear, but I think it allows you to copy a live shard char on test center. I'll attempt to find out more.

Edit, just logged in to test center. The message there is:
You may not copy a character while the warehouse is down

I believe Petra is correct. That it does not work as yet... well. soon.

Yeah, that is what it says in my Help menu here on Siege as well.

I was thinking it might be a copy character, delete and re-create. Which I thought might be cool. If you were perm red, might save getting scrolls, etc again.

Why would you copy your char to test centre? When you can just use the commands, to re-create. Only thing you couldnt re-create, is maybe a special wep that you cant get via menu etc.

I guess I dunno where that would be useful

My guess is that it would be a time saver and probably copies the contents of your bank as well, which would be nice. Would save time making armor and such if you already have good stuff.

Dont click it! it copies your soul into UO and then you get charged a extra 15 a month for having a soul account! I tried to eat a powerscroll in RL now i have 120 mommy skill! I can yell louder and run faster!
