Apart from setting a perfect example in the speed of fixing bugs and listening to player request, it shows the potential of the EC that is still vast and how starved EC players are for further developement.

We are all very happy about what Pinco is doing for us. It would be nice to see a similar progress on part of the dev team. Or if that isn't possible, at least give the modders more freedom (you know what I'm talking about: gumps!).

I've been using Pinco's UI and I have to agree its superb!

especially now since he has worked with Dermott of LS to get his copper and stone UI intergrated!

Come on Dev's at least give us an update!

Though you do have to remember that Pinco actually "plays" UO... so he knows what he would like.

Second the UI he's doing is not like the entire game of UO which is far older and more complex...

Not that I defend the DEV team that much just saying, I think you are comparing apples to oranges and certainly you wouldn't want to redownload the client everytime they made a change.

In about 5 days, he's given us a remarkably robust and feature-packed UI for the EC that is far better and more fun than the vanilla EC. I'm just hoping the next update doesn't break Pinco's UI.

I have been playing on and off for for over 7 years now. I can honestly say that Pinco and the other modders have brought me back to UO in a way I have not experienced in a long time.

Everyone should try it, especially on a wide screen.

This is really awesome and almost... ALMOST makes me want to play EC.
I just can't stand the graphics. =[ If I could play 2d in the EC until the EC graphics look way better, I would totally rock some of this and work on things like Pinco's doing. Really awesome work. =]

Well, I can't blame them. They work on it all day long, understandable if they do not play it in their free time. And even if they play now and then at work, of course the can't be as experienced as player than most of us. But they should be able to listen to seasoned player like Dermott who know exactly what the client needs.

Like MalagAste said, it's because he's a player and not an ea employee that he's able to put some magic into the game.

We also owe much love to all the other modders who have shone their light.
If they hadn't blazed a trail would there be a Pinco's UI?

Pinco has picked up the torch and has gone farther than I could/would have ever imagined.

No kidding. I reported a bug in his UI here, and within about 2 hours it was fixed and the update ready for download.

You can't even get EA to acknowledge receiving and looking at a bug report in 2 hours, much less spending time to reproduce the problem and developing a fix.
