Put the dagger on a hotkey and make steaks between cast. Not like your going to hold fisher skill gain back just to catch the trainer fish. Otherwise only person that would want them to waste time fixing this is those playing with a coin shoved in next to the F1 or running something naughty. Santa's watching.
That's what I thought too, but problem is, fish steaks cut from the non-stacking fish also do not stack. So, what you'll end up with is a pack full of non-stacking fish steaks.
The thing that really got me was, the question regarding the value of crabs and lobsters was asked TWICE, and the developers still didn't acknowledge the problem. The first time it was asked , they said they didn't understand the question (which admittedly was asked in a confusing way). Then, the question was clarified and asked again, and the developer response was, that players can't know what the fish are worth, because they don't know the tier breakdowns of the drops.
OK Developers, PAY ATTENTION!!:
When you do a fishing quest and are awarded bait, the number of bait in the bait cup corresponds exactly with the point value of the fish in the order. Crabs and lobsters are being valued a .5 point each, even though developers have said but on message boards and again in the video that they should be worth 2 points each. So, players can in fact tell exactly how much each type of fish is worth.
Again, if you do an order with 10 hummer lobster, you'll be awarded 5 bait. If you do a quest with 20 snow crab you will be awarded 10 bait. 1/2 point per crab. One half point per lobster. 1/2. One half. 0.5.
Then, what really got me was the guy sitting behind Cal (sorry, I didn't note all the names), who then went on to say that players shouldn't be griping that catching crabs and lobsters are a pain in the ass because, little do players know, they are being credited 2 points each! WELL NO MR DEVELOPER. Players are quite aware of the f'd up situation; and to summarize again, catching crabs and lobsters are in fact a pain in the ass, and the situation is made doubly worse (maybe quadruply worse) by the fact that we're credit ONE HALF point per crab or lobster.
So, that's 2 changes that should be super easy.
#1 Make normal fish (and the steaks you get from cutting them up) stack. Just like they used to. Before you f'd that up.
#2 Someone screwed up and divided the value of crabs and lobsters by 2, when in fact they should have multiplied by 2. So, someone go into the code and change the "/" to a "*".
