You'd need UO to output in 3D to really see anything decent, Although some 3D TVs can do a 2d to 3d conversion it's pretty crap.

There's Nvidia 3D Vision. Need the software, 3D screen, & 3D glasses. As I understand it, this turns anything to 3D, even UO. But games optimized for Nvidia 3D Vision supposedly look way cooler with less problems.

There's nothing magic in this 3D feature. UO is a flat board where all the graphics are rendered from flat layers (by DirectDraw). It's not a rendering of a 3D world with polygons. So even with a 3D monitor, you'll see UO's game window as a flat board.

You'll need a two objectives camera (or two cameras) with each objective behind a glass of your 3D glasses. Then you give us both pictures taken and we'll try to cross eyes on our screens.
Otherwise it's gonna fail.

I like it on my 42" Screen..... though I don't think 3D would be kind to UO.

When my multi media projector was working................ played UO with a 8 x 8 foot screen. Able to go to 25 x 25 foot if I wanted to build an outdoor theater screen in the backyard. Sitting close to the 10x10 and picking up a fist sixe single black pearl was nice. Home deco dropping was easier being able to see the pixel that was that magic spot. Tossed a tape measure up on the wall. The door to my house was 21" tall.

To bad the RL shinies you all talk about cost 3x a great projector does. Try a sports, driving or shooter game with things being larger then life. Makes you wonder why you played any other way. One truth about any projector. Check what the burn out parts cost to replace. Some the companies pull the printer ink crap. Some of the parts have an insane cost. I was looking at a new one that was just under $900. The common lamp replacement for it cost just over $350.

It is always fun to yell out in your own home "Down in front!" For those into the deer hunting. I took my projector to my brothers place and he played one his big buck videos. Told him to hold up his hand. Hes like "Why?". He had the shakes from watching the video life size.

Going to a store like Best Buy you can see the huge area that they have all the TV stuff. For the projectors there is like two shelves holding 8-10 models. If lucky they have one in the viewing room. Size thing something to think about for those living in tight areas or those that move a lot. DOesn't make a differnce if your projecting on a beige painted brick wall. Your mind adjusts and see only what is important. Even an outlet on the lower edge does vannish after time. But if ya have 4k to burn go with what may impress your friends.

taking a picture of a display to then be viewed by another display is always a fail. a copy of a copy of a copy.
