Someone found a new Galleon design looking through the UO files.




Anyone knows anything about it?

Is this the "Whale" ship we were told might come in the future? I remember comments about it at the town hall meeting. It does look wider and longer than the other ships.

Are those 4 cannon windows below deck?

Probably get the pieces for it as rewards for fishing quests once you become legendary. Of course it would require many quests of 6 line, 20 count, dungeon fish as the RNG would probably only grant a piece as a reward one time in a thousand.

Somoene got a program like insiduo working with High seas and found the galleon.

It seems to be to small for 'The Whale', probably the Sosarian galleon?

You're right, it is mentioned at the town hall. It will probably be used on events.

That's a bowsprit.
Kind of normal to have one - I'm guessing the image in the OP doesn't show ropes, or the jib that's probably supposed to be there, too.

That is actually the first ship we worked on - even before the other ships for High Seas. It's what we call a "proof of concept" - we used it for pipeline development and testing.

Im guessing all the lines on the deck and sails will be gone if its ever put into the game? To me its not that bad of a boat... the deck is so big that it looks very empty but as long as the lines go away I would like to get one.

I wouldnt mind seeing more boats, and even bigger boats, but with bigger boats dont you think we will have even more crowding around docks and hotspots? I wonder how hard itd be for devs to alter docks and maybe expand the ocean waters. At least a big boat would be great for events and parties in game.
