sacrifice rez'd, but gold looted

The other day I was in SA w/ forgotten servants, had to go in a hurry, so hid - came back later, but was dead.
Used sacrifice rez, but was missing only my gold. I know servants are big looters. I thought I was supposed to get all my possessions back? I would have looked this up on the Herald, but only got this:

Fairly certain that Sacrifice returns the Items in your Corpse to your Backpack, If a Monster Had looted your gold before you Sac'd then it would have not been in the corpse to be retrieved by the Self Res in the first place.

yup sacrifice rez will give you everything on your body and in your pack at the time of using it..anything looted before using the virtue..is gone

Also, you say you came back later, but you didn't say how long. If your body decayed, then the stuff would be gone. Bottom line, like others have said, sacrifice will retrieve everything that is on your corpse when you use it. If it's been looted or if your corpse decayed, the stuff ain't gonna be there.

4-5 hours later, yeah body was long gone. okies, Thanks, I didn't know i had to do it within the decay timer.

Would the decay timer be active like that if I had planted the seed from that tree and was using it instead?

If ur in a room full of liches or ophids, ur looted dry in seconds and would have no possessions left, what'd be the point? I'm missing something somewhere.

First, Insurance.. (Meaning they should never get anything too crucial)

Second, It adds challenge. (With insruance and Bad IA, Challenge is a pretty generous word for UO PvM)

Third, Monsters (Usually Humanoids) have looted players for as long as I can remember, and they will generally target Heavier stacks of Gold First. (Its good to carry Dummies, or split the Gold into piles when farming)

Fouth, If you kill that monster, your item will be on its corpse (Lol) If another player kills it, and you are not partied to them, You will still be able to loot that specific item off of the monster corpse.

Fifth, Monsters also loot other monster corpses.

*Note* Your corpse will -Always- be subject to decay timer, and therefore items inside as well, if an Item is decayed, it will never return.

Like Vaelix says....Carry a couple stacks of 2k gold each or so......THOSE almost always get looted first. After that they go for bags etc.. then onto other items

The main point of it is that you can self res with out having to run around looking for a healer or another player to res you. The getting everything back on your corpse is just a perk of that main point.
