Spawn Power Scrolls...Maybe I've missed something

So, did a few spawns this weekend and apparently either I'm doing something wrong, or there was a change made maybe?

Typical set up, me and three friends, running with a second account protecting.

So, me and my friends (the four accounts working the spawn) kill the champ, and we only got 4 scrolls on the protector.....?!?

Am I doing something wrong here? This method has ALWAYS given us the max (6) scrolls on the protector.

Ironically, we thought that maybe someone was protecting (from a previous spawn) so we unpro'd and repro'd. Same end result.

Any insight would be appreciated cause you know that those were my (4) 120 Magery scrolls that was lost!

Was the protector at max justice? (in the virtue gump, KNIGHT title)
Was a character that was killing a tamer? Did the pet turn blue as the champ was dying?
Were any of the characters hitting the champ red?
Was the protector hitting the champ as well?
Theres another option as well, but its hard to give a nutshell. It involves a provoker.

In short, it seems there might be some smaller bugs.

That's why I'm at such a loss, doesn't make sense.

Hmm, did anyone that was hitting the champ log out/time out?
Did anyone that was protected happen to lose connection at some point while killing the champ and forget to get re-prod?

I don't believe 1 spawn is enough to fret about. Do another 3 and if you get only 4 powerscrolls then it may be logical to post something.

We did more than (1), In fact, we did (4) in total - Which to me is (2) more than should be necessary to find out it it's a glitch. Each one, only got (4) scrolls.

Not losing any sleep over it, was just curious if perhaps I'd missed something about protection/changes to protection.

you also have a chance to get scrolls for working the spawn and are still on the same sub server when the champion dies

I like to swoop in on my hiding necro stealther kill alot of the far off first level spawn etc and sometimes get a scroll baffling the group doing the spawn

Personally I use a stealth ninja weaver with a slayer club and sneak into spawns to shadow strike the champ a few times.

Works with the lesser spawns too.

I believe the issue though is that they counted 6 scrolls among their own group and only 4 on the protector. And you stealth scroll hijackers are punks, but that is clever I will admit, heh.

Did your friends log-out?When I was dead, log-out to evacuate swamps.
Occasionally,I forgot to be re-protected lol.

Did the 4 champers get 6 PS indeed? Cause we have had several times Mephitis or Senidar gave just 4 PS to our champers and thus also 4 to the protector. Probably the Dragon going blue was the problem there... Still dunno understnad how sometimes it can fight a whole battle staying green, and other times can't fight 3 secs without going blue...

One can get one of the 6 PS from just killing Spawn in the fringes? Thought you needed to do enough dmg on the champ itself?

one of the folks protected may of loss conn or logged in and out quick to save a mount and bamm you lose their protection scrolls too. this is a very common one that folks forget about or overlook often.

maybe you had rotated protection and someone never dropped the old protection and when he checked his menu he saw he was protected and didnt fully understand it was tied to someone else.

My pets always stay green when i give the attack command before the monster locks on it. I have tested it a ton on peerless. When going in with invisible pets and sending it on the boss iam all fine. When i get in and the boss autotargets my pet it will turn blue every couple minutes.

You have to hit the champ to get scrolls... the only drops you get from hitting the spawn are replicas and sots and 105s.

Ironically after reading this, the character I was using myself to work the spawn was a tamer...my dragon DID go blue for literally a few seconds during the champ itself.

That character got a scroll, but, we did only get (4) on our 'champers' and then the (4) on our characters....

The confusing part is that only happened on the one spawn, so for the others, shrug not sure.

By the way, the Ninja method is genius, never wouldve thought about that one!

You don't so much stay invis as you do momentarily flash on their screen.
Its almost instant.
