City Dock Parking Should Work Like Sea Market Parking

Most of the city docks that I've been to are blocked off with uninhabited boats. We cannot complete the fishing quests if we cannot make it to the docks to unload our cargo.

Please do something about this developers. Maybe after 10-20 minutes, the ships at city docks could be moved out of the area so new ships can make it in and finish their quests.

Once you are 'near' the docks, you can recall to the shipmonger and finish your quest. ('Near' actually is not that near becourse he finds your ship as long as you are on the same subserver.)

Yes, that may be so. But i like to torture myself even more with those quests, because iam sailing to the proper ports. I havn't used recall yet. This makes this whole game somewhat more "real" to me. All this recalling around, doing quests only when they are on the 3 port subserver stuff seems like "cheating" to me. Feels like "click a button to win your prize" instead of playing a fisherman. Rewardfarming ;(

The DOCK BLOCKING is getting really old. Worse is snaking through a path and have someone cork your escape. Harbor master needs to message a captain that comes to the docks with a birthing cost. Let that cost roll and at a point impound the boats left to long. Any impounded boat you recall to pops you in front of the Harbor Master and window comes up with the bill (gold sink). Something along the lines of stables and items on a house sign. Moonglow can be block far enough away the recall trick wont work by two ships.

Don't know about the three port deal. Sounds like if resign from a quest have to wait till server up for another from that city. I just connected the dots and I sail a set path about. Have had 6 quest and four went to one city. That city gave me a quest that matched my paired last two. The sailing keps fish stocks up and crabbing near shallow water allows me to crab on side of the ship while shore fishing the other.

More your suck the reality out of the game the more artificial it seems. Gotta trick the mind to get the hit the goal thrill.

Agreed.. on Catskills, its almost impossible to DOCK your ship.. it would be great if the same time could be put onto ANY boat at ANY DOCK.. ANY FACET

The vast majority of city docks were built to handle MUCH SMALLER ships to begin with .. as our current government does not have the extensive funds needed to do a massive overhaul on all city docks ..

I suggest the following :
Having a 20 minute docking time limit would allow anyone to get done what they need to do and get their ships OUT of the WAY so others can use the area

A) The newer ships take up at LEAST TWICE as much docking space as the older original, ships ...

B) when boats were used for mining ages ago there was the same problem .. no one would move the darn boats OUT OF THE WAY

ok heh am off the soap box .. but yes Dev's please consider a way to get rid of the DOCK HOGS
