I have a question is anyone knows.. can you only get a 105 or are there 110 115 ect.. or will we have to bind them?

I have a theory about this. The devs said certain quests would only be given to fishers at certain skill levels. If you have to be 100 to get a 105, then perhaps you have to be 105 to get a 110, 110 to get a 115 and so on.
The next thing is... what kind of nifty stuff can you get once you are already 120? I'm hoping some swanky deco or arties, but I'm also afraid I'm just being way too hopeful they would ever code something that intricate and exciting. One can only hope sometimes

Hiya,
It seems the number of items in the request decides what level of reward is possible... Messana was at an EM event the other day and said that 110s can come from 6 item requests... and who knows, maybe some of them need to be rarer dungeon fish or whatever...
So... You keep doing requests, you get more and more 4s, then 5s then 6s and so on.
Who knows maybe 120 will take 10 lines of requests or *gulp* more in the crate?
My question is.. for those who got a 105, do you rememeber how many items were in the request list?

Actually yes, my 105 came from a quest requesting five items. Luck was not involved in my 105 either, although I do now wear a luck suit when fishing and crabbing and turning in quests.
Also, it sure would be a lot better if we knew where we stood with the quests as they said somewhere that canceling a quest will hurt your overall standing with the fishmonger. If this is true it sure would be nice to see something, like in the loyalty rating area possibly.

I gave up on fishing... I have done a ton of the quests... with the 4, 5, 6 and keep getting bait! My fishing is 100 so thats not an issue there.
but just seems so much a waste of time now...

I have to agree with Zelda. Another thing I've noticed is that it seems (to me anyway) that when you have an order for, let's say apple crabs and you have the crate in your ship hold it seems almost impossible to catch any apple crabs; whereas if you do not have an order they seem much much easier to get. The only way around this would be fishing up before you have any quests to make chances of getting all types even. Also, I'm hoping to see more diverse rewards added to these fishing quests - fish bait and lava traps are little reward for completing orders that are quite monumental.
I really do like the idea of this whole fishing system but there is much to be sorted out to make it more palatable for everyone. It just seems everyone I've encountered is very disillusioned about this aspect of the High Seas.

I got my +5 from a 3-item quest. It was my 36th quest. I have always done one at a time and never destroyed my crate. I save time by getting on the subserver where the quest destination is and recalling straight to the fishmonger.

Anyone is welcome to add their info so, hopefully, after a a while we can start using the data to compile a chart, like Tower of Roses did back in the day for bod orders and rewards.
I'm now on quest 67 and got a bit frustrated after a long string of bait, bait, bait and books, esp as the quests dropped back down to 1-item quests. The Order of the Dragonfish finally deemed me worthy for a scroll, but now they have me off fetching lunch again?
After I heard about Pub 68.3, I decided to hold on to my fish stock and wait til Ches gets it so, if anything, there may be some behind the scenes rejiggering(or if not, I probably needed a break anyway).

Well even after i said i gave up... lol I talked to someone... and they said try it this way.. dont keep fish in the hold... then have a base of fish and such at the house to pick from, dont cancle any quests... i did another at least 25 or 30 yesterday, chained!, and still got junk!!!!!! went as far as having 5 diff fish in a quest, and got fricken rare book!! I hope they fix this!!! Cause now it is a true waste of time...

I hate to waste 2 hours and not see ANYONE get anything (or in some cases, the same person gets all of the prizes, then that makes ya wonder, i will be good and wont say what I think on that!).
However, I have said it before, i can go down and do the Spider, and not get anything, but at least ya got a chance for something, for your time!

My new strategy is not do any quests but work my skill up to 105.0 while saving all the fish. Once I hit 105, then I will start doing quests again.
Something I'd love to see is a creel, which is used to store fish, made into an item that fits in the back slot(same as quivers and cloaks) that would have a weight reduction property so I can fish longer instead of having to recall back to my house for a drop-off every 40 or so fish(about 10 minutes of fishing). If they made this a reward item, that would be even better, lol

sounds like a plan... Wish i had the 105, that is all i have been doing is stocking up.. there just seems no point in doing the quests anylonger!
cool thing i figured out... Know how if you have more then 2 fish, and you are draggin them? you always have to hit ok. if you hold down the ctrl-shift, you can drag each of the bulk fish to a packie, or to a drop box, without having to hit the ok each time. (just a little time saver there if ya didnt know)
