Add Fish/Crab/Lobster Type to Quest Details BEFORE we accept Quests

Please add the Fish, Crab, or Lobster type to the quest dialogue BEFORE we accept the fishing quest.

The reason for this is simple: I don't want to do Crab or Lobster quests unless they're large and have a chance for a PS because it takes too long for the traps to catch stuff. I want to know what I'm supposed to catch before I accept the quest from now on please.

Ive been doing well. Even with cancelling I get bigger requests. Seems random. +5 fishing scroll too.

It says so right in the quest gump. Although I for one think that right now crab/lobster fishing is just too crappy to even bother with, cause I could do multiple fish quests before I could finish an even small lobster quest.

I expect lobster fishing to be tweaked in upcoming publishes though. Cause its really not worth doing as it sits.

I agree with knowing what you are doing before accepting, but I do also agree that the crab/lobster thing is most likely going to be tweaked very soon.

I've been doing the quests lately to get the PS, but I had an epiphany -- why bother raising Fishing to 120? I can still get all other benefits (MiBs, Nets, Maps) at 100 anyway... not that any of them are anywhere near worth doing any more...

With BODs I can get a new bod in 6 hours.

With fishing I can never get a new fishing quest. It's either complete or take a standings hit.

You can never back track in BODs.

I think the point of the fishing quests is that they want to force you to fish in different locations and catch a variety of fish. The problem is that crab/lobster fishing is so agonizing that being forced to catch them is like pure punishment.

I'll say that I think it's good that people are forced to fish in a variety of locations. I'll also say that I think the crab/lobster fishing needs to be changed so it doesn't require you to stare at your screen constantly while you do it. If the phone or doorbell rings or nature calls when you have traps in the water, you're screwed. Shouldn't be like that.

When I get a crustacean "BOD", I simply put it on the back burner and move onto next port (you can have up to 8 delivery crates). I do all the fish ones first, then go back to the crusties when I am forced to do so...

The lobster thing is long and the loss of traps is so bad that you get tired of waiting for the traps to "bob". Have turned in 99% of the quests only droped 1 so far. Having a blast doing them.

I am seriously beginning to loathe lobster and crab fishing.

I'm way too slow to pull up the thing when it bobs half the time.... and the other half the time it doesn't even bob before vanishing...

I've also found at docks like Moonglow it's always telling me I "Can't see that location"... when I try to put my traps in the water... I'm like REALLY? I'm standing right beside the tile for pity sake...... and in some spots.... the bobber doesn't even show above the water.... how am I supposed to know if it's bobbing or click on it????

I don't count BODs as a quest. There are a lot of quests out there that tell you what they want before hand and you can say no thank you to and clk the NPC to get another one. This is the first quest that doesn't tell you what they want and if you cancel it afterwards you lose points. I have been doing these like everyone else and I have not seen any 4 part fish quests. Most of the time it is 1 or 2 type and a few 3 type. I understand RNG and have been doing BODs from day one but without being able to tell where my fishing points are and what I need to do to get better quest. I visit all fishmongers and have as many quests going at once so I don't think that is the problem. We need to know more about all these quests and about our point system.

unless Dev adds chance of auto retrieve traps at higher fishing skill level like starting at 105?
and a 120 fisher would 100% auto retrieve traps? Dev team any comments?
