Vent for iPhone!!!!!

So, I'm traveling this weekend and thought "Man, I wish I could ask a guild mate a question right now"..... So, I picked up my search for a vent client app for my iPhone and it was finally released within the last few weeks!!!

It doesn't have any admin features or chat, but it does show all channels and you simply tap the channel name to move just like regular client.

It's got a toggle for talking so you don't have to use Push to Talk, which is nice.

It does cost $3.00 but after using, I can solidly endorse.

I think it's only for iPhone 4, but can not confirm.

droid phones have apps for this purpose and they're free. which is why driod > iphone.

search ventriloid on the droids market. I tried this one and it works perfectly. and once again, its free!

Edit = The droid version also has chat features, and appears to have admin features as well. there is deff an "admin login" option. But i'm not an admin so i cant check it out.

I just tried the ventriloid, its free and is basically fully functional mobile vent client. This is really cool, thanks for sharing. Oh and it works on all android versions. I tried it on Android 1.5, and 1.6 (which is on the older phones) and android 2.1 and 2.2 (on the newer ones) and they all work perfectly.

I use vent from my phone to "call" friends oversea (who also uses vent) for free where ever I am. And the sound doesnt get cut off horribly when you are at a less than perfect 3G/4G environments like you do if you make a call via Skype or other VoIP apps.

Smartphones are great. And for video chat Iphone has ******-proof facetime which only works with other iphone 4s, androids phones video chat isnt as easy to use but it works with almost all android phones (just that for some phones that didnt have a front facing webcams you can only receive video).

iPhones will cost you a lot more if you choose to not cracking it (jailbreak). Androids while it still requires "rooting" to enable your phones true potential still came with much more functions and useful free apps than the iphones.

iPhone is easy to learn easy to use tho and its beautiful thats why everyone and their grandma and sometimes their pet monkeys have one.

Yea! I was suprisied. I also have an jailbroken iphone 4 here and downloaded the vent app (selling for 3 USD) and it came in with much much more limited functionalities compare to the android one which anyone with an android phone can download from the market for free.

Wait so its better and its FREE??!!

If someone wanted to make a Ventrillo app for iPhone it could be free also. It is up to the app maker if they want to give it away for free or charge a price.
