Today I was proud to serve as first lieutenant on board Captain Righty's fine new galleon, the S.S. Green Beer. Along with ensign Becca, we set sail to capture Bonney Dul Burke, one of the fearsome new pirates that have been terrorizing the seas of late. After hearing reports of his whereabouts from local fisherman, we set off on a long chase and eventually caught up with the blaggard off the southern tip of Britannia. We closed in immediately and engaged him with our bow chaser, then swung around his port side and let forth a full broadside. A fierce battle ensued, and the orcish crew of the pirate ship returned our fire with even greater ferocity, forcing us to retire for repairs and leave the grievously injured Becca at Trinsic hospital.
Upon our return, with Captain Righty himself taking the helm, we successfully brought down both the pirate's fore and main-mast, rendering him immobile. We then switched to grape shot and pummelled the crew with all its terrible destruction. Finally, only Burke remained alive. Captain Righty then boarded his vessel and fought a thrilling hand-to-hand duel which would have swashed any buckle, and eventually the subdued corsair was dragged back in chains to the Green Beer where he was secured to a mast.
After searching the sinking pirate ship and taking anything of value, we returned in triumph to the Sea Market where both Righty and I were given rewards, which turned out to be some fascinating information about the construction of orcish ships.
The day's adventures were not yet over though. In the gathering gloom we caught sight of another sail to leeward, which Captain Righty immediately steered toward. It turned out it was no less than the myserious Breagan D'aerthe Celeste, an evil faction ship of legend. Fearing that the vessel may return to life at any moment, we blasted its hull with our lead shot and sent it to join Davy Jones.
Thus ended our adventure, and we headed toward the welcoming lights of Moonglow harbour for a hearty meal and swig of rum.
