dexxer healing

Would you _ever_ consider a template without anat/healing on a pvp dexxer (ranged or non ranged)?

I'm looking at some interesting builds where I have a lot of "on the move" healing but no anat/healing.

I don't want this to be a thread about "damage output" so let's just stick to the healing question.

There's one variant with Heal Stone, Confidence, and ep Pots. It could be a 1 keypress macro to pop all 3 at the same time and potentially heal a crapload of dmg. Is that enough?

Downside is I would have no way to res, but I would have a ton of killing power.

Healing stone and gheal pots are on the same timer imho, so its either stone or pot every 10 sec.

I run a couple dexers with no heal/anat.

For PvP I prefer to not use the healing skill, mainly because I always forget to apply bandages.

i dont usually forget bandages, they just dont seem worth it for the 200 skill investment. i was looking for alternatives like myst/focus - which provides a lot more utility - and passive mana regen, meaning it could open up armor slots from needing MR2. but, heal stone is on same timer as pots, that's no bueno. have to test tonight

how well does the 4/6 chiv work in pvp LG? i hear a LOT of resistance from everyone when i talk chiv on any PVP template.

It works great and has many effective variations due to such a small skill requirement.

Yes, 4/6 Chiv/Med/Weaver.
Interesting... I have a 4/6 bush/med/chiv warrior that uses chiv, pots, and confidence to heal. He runs swords for nerve strike.

What's your template for the 4/6 chiv/med/weaver?

The thing I dislike about healing is the 140 dex requirement for 4s bandages. I prefer to use faster weapons and have more mana (thus less dex). Getting to 140 dex pretty much guarantees my mana pool will be limited.

It had Fencing, Holy Light, 90 Spellweaving (89.something is 100% Essence Of Wind I think), Hit Area/Hit Spell/HLD weapons, other that I can't remember it was years ago before Faction arties. It was for raiding spawns and taking out choke points.

I spent a lot of time on Test a few months ago trying various combinations. I got a lot out of this (or similar):

120 Fencing
100 Anatomy
100 Tactics
70 Med
70 Chivalry
120 Resist
120 Bushido

Anyway, the crux was this: I had a 30 SSI Kryss and 10 dex + some stamina increase. Max STR and Intand as much + HP and mana as possible (I know I ended up with close to 200 HP and Mana pool - I used barely any artifacts, just an imbued suit with plus mana and hp on every item). Swinging the Kryss at cap, even with dex that low. And then I just spammed Armor Ignore. Every shot. With a huge mana pool you can get out a dozen, more I guess. Never checked. Play around with DI, anatomy tactics etc until you are around 39 damage which gives you 35 every time you AI. 35 damage per swing at cap without any elaborate weapons or skill sets. Heal with 4/6 chivalry and Confidence on the run.

When you run out of mana you have to flee. But with 70 med and some MR on your armour you can be back in the game pretty quick.

If you are confident without resist then drop it and add some more firepower to the template (find space for mysticism maybe) or survivability with Ninjitsu or wrestle (dismount / disarm).

It's really basic. Just point and click. I got quite a few kills where people just didn't expect another AI and tried to heal through. And then you just do 10 in a row.

I've got a buddy who uses this template:

120 Macing
120 Parry
120 Tactics
100 Meditation
95 Healing
90 Weaving
75 Chivalry

Never have been able to beat that toon in a sparring match. I have used a similar template with 100 anat instead of 100 med, but I'm still at a bit of a disadvantage, as I can't affort the gear that he uses.

I call bull****..

That template looks like crap for PvP.

You didn't have 200 hp.

I'm surprised.

No I probably didnt have 200hp. More like 150 I guess but it's neither here nor there. I'm not trying to embelish particularly.

I was playing Test with a suit imbued with the non-rare ingredients. I did have over 150 mana and around 150 hp without potions. With better items I'm sure you could do better. It basically uses a mage suit - high int/med and str/hp with 45 HCI and lmc next in line and then dci and the rest.

And it does work well.

You are swinging at cap.
You can trigger around 10+ AIs in a row.
You heal with 4/6 Chivalry and confidence.
Cure with chiv. Remove curse.
You even have resist as I ahd it set up but can replace with Ninja to survive dismounts and allow you to poison people when they run, if you are confident using trap boxes etc.

It's all there on the page. I'm not sure how you can 'call bull****'. just make it on Test in 30 minutes and tell me what's wrong with it if you still think its BS.

Disadvantages? Well it's an impact build I suppose. If you haven't killed them by the time you run out of mana you have to start running and waiting to regain it. Like any chasing dexxer you need to be fast too.

Also, as soon as you switch to a slower weapon for it's specials, your low dex can hurt you. I did still use a Warfork a little but just to inflict bleed on mages.

Healing no anat works fine. I don't know if the extra 100 points is worth it other than ressing and a cure when you run out of pots...
