Would you care to elaborate some? That's the only way we can improve the stealing events.
I would personally like to say; the event was "okay". It had good intents; but some things just defeated some of the points.
I'll elaborate some.
#1. Thieving should be done by that; thieves. I am aware you can wear "MANY" items to "become a thief"; but only a thief should be allowed to do this. MEANING; if you stole or "obtained" an item; then only a "thief" should turn it in. If you were working in a team with non-thieves (which is fine) then you take your item; and you figure out a way to divide it amongst your team.
#2. You should of been allowed to grab (1) item at a time; and had to return it. And have very strict consequences for this. I know of 2 people who were carting around 3 items and didn't bother to tell anyone where they got em from. Now; before you yell (THEY STOLE THEM; THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT); it gives them an unfair advantage if they stole, Say Skara's items, and they are off looking in Britain, while other people are still searching for Skara's items bc the EM can't announce that the items from Skara were stolen.
#3. The lockpicking skills "needed" were LOW LEVEL at best. If you had above 80 magery; you could magic unlock the items. I don't think that's what good experienced lockpickers/thieves had in mind when you mentioned this at first.
#4. Again; the end of the event rewards for participation. I suggested for people to turn on their "Stealing" or "Lockpicking" titles so you could get your reward. Now while others "Participated" by "Spotting items & being team players by gating around or magic unlocking"; then you should of had to split your participation reward with your team. Thats the DISADVANTAGE to being with a team as opposed to being solo.
But those are just my "personal" gripes. The event had a very good outlook and had potential to be really awesome; I agree with that. But the problems; like I stated above; turned me off a bit to it.
Also; you should consider doing these in Fel. Because everyone knows "good" thieves have hiding and stealth for those very reasons.
Good job with the event though. A few changes and it could be really awesome.
