Well, is it?
They included pets because when pets cant see you or if they are invised, the rate at which loyalty drops is increased. If a person is sitting at brit/luna bank and goes afk, which is not illegal as long as they arnt doing any actions whatsoever and you invis their pet or them you can cause it to leave its master. So is invising other player's pets.
Are you the King of Britannia? He has a right to do what he wants in Luna. If you don't like it, leave. Yes, this is harassment and can get you a mark. The facts:
1: Person A was in the middle of Luna bank beating an animal with a weapon to work Bushido.
2: I asked if he would move away because it was annoying. He was randomly running back and forth hitting the animal. He didn't respond so I invis'd him.
3: He started talking shortly after the invis wore off so I asked him to stop. He refused so I invis'd him again.
4: He said if I did it again, he'd page on me so, I did it again and often. I mean, the only reason to do that at the bank is to annoy those who are there or who come there. He claims he paged on me.
5: Someone partied me and told me that it was bannable but other statements that person made lead me to believe that they were not being honest.
I guess I'll have to wait and see how this hashes out. If I get banned for it, so be it.
My sentiment, exactly. Are you the King of Britannia? He has a right to do what he wants in Luna. If you don't like it, leave.

Orly?Yes it is bannable. Just because you find someone training annoying doesn't mean you have the right to make him leave. Heck, he may not even be trying to annoy people and actually training and you casting invis on him and/or his pet is interfering with his training.
Just as much as its his right to train there it is your right to leave if you don't like it. Sure, there may be countless areas for him to train, but there are also countless areas for you to bank at. I dunno... out of all the things to be sore about this isn't, imo, high on the list.Yes, I am the King of Britannia. rolleyes: Do you want to attempt to use a bank with someone working Bushido on a pet complete with the whiplash sound and the clang of a sword hitting said creature repeatedly? Yes, in the future I'll use another bank but, this guy was doing this specifically to annoy those who use the bank there and/or hang out there. I can put spammers on ignore but unless I turn the sound off, I have to hear the sounds. Capiche?
...yes really.Orly?Yes it is bannable. Just because you find someone training annoying doesn't mean you have the right to make him leave. Heck, he may not even be trying to annoy people and actually training and you casting invis on him and/or his pet is interfering with his training.
"Before you submit a harassment complaint, be sure you understand what constitutes harassment and that you have followed these steps:
•You have asked the player to "please stop" (and then they have continued to repeat the offending behavior).
•You have tried to remove yourself from the situation, for example, by recalling away or moving several screens."
Hrmmm...
Regarding the invising of people, The person needs to continually do it even after being asked to stop. So if they want to do that it's their own fault and deserve the hard punishment - which isn't really that hard if you have no marks on your account anyway.i quite don`t get why in-game acts done by in-game means should be punished by such a hard punishment as the ban.could someone explain?
And, also, if they are so eager to ban for such things as "harrasment", then people stop complaining about the playerbase being thin and dwindling.
I've used the bank when people are working Bushido there. I'm not so uptight as to be bothered by it. After all, I hear the same sounds when a big horde goes hunting on EM Events. Do you complain about that too? Some people get annoyed when they see someone spamming about an item they are selling at the bank. Being annoyed is one thing and everyone is allowed to be annoyed at whatever they want, but if you choose to interfere with someone else, then you are the bad guy. It's like saying some guy on a cell phone at a restaurant annoys you, but if you put your hands on him, that's assault. And yes, you can turn down your sound. Capiche?Yes, I am the King of Britannia. rolleyes: Do you want to attempt to use a bank with someone working Bushido on a pet complete with the whiplash sound and the clang of a sword hitting said creature repeatedly? Read the OP's explanation of what happened. It's different. You're invising someone who is griefing, whose griefing is interfering with your gameplay. Did the griefer ask you to stop? If no, then it's already different. This is ridiculous! I alwys try to invis the idiots who stand with their swampie right in front of our EM who tries to give a speech. If I get banned for that after 11 years, well... good riddance then.
First off, hanging out at Luna bank is gimp stuff.....even using it is lame. That said, it's your own fault, you get annoyed pretty easy by your fellow luna shmucks.Yes, I am the King of Britannia. rolleyes: Do you want to attempt to use a bank with someone working Bushido on a pet complete with the whiplash sound and the clang of a sword hitting said creature repeatedly? It does interrupt you. As I type this, I have a character training on my laptop next to me and there's a dude coming by invising me. So I'm constantly having to break invis, go into combat mode again, and attack again. This is repetitive action I shouldn't have to do but for this dummy. I'm here at the computer doing this so I'm not unattended and I'm chatting in alliance chat as well. This guy is just griefing.Hmm.... ok, I see... but invis doesn't harm or interupt you in any way. So why should it bother anyone?
First off your not gonna get banned for invising someone at a bank.Read the OP's explanation of what happened. It's different. You're invising someone who is griefing, whose griefing is interfering with your gameplay. Did the griefer ask you to stop? If no, then it's already different.
As for the OP, he's interrupting someone's training simply because of his annoyance. In essence, he's griefing someone who is training by interrupting them.
I know why I train at the bank. I train there because I have two clients open, one to allure and arctic ogre lord and the other to train. Training there means I don't need to refresh my spellweaver. I'm atill at the keyboard to respond to a GM so it is not against the TOS.First off your not gonna get banned for invising someone at a bank.
As to the actual harrassment rules of conduct, you would only be violating them if the person you were invising asked you to stop, LEFT THE AREA, and then you Followed them, continuing to invis them. That would fall under the harrasment terms. If they dont leave the area, they obviously arent offended enough to consider themselves under harrassment.
P.S. -people train at banks so they can macro and go afk / semi-afk and not be logged out. And That is against the tos.
P.S.S. - Casting invisiblity on people used to raise the casters karma, so... up until a few years ago it was a "virtuous" thing to do as far as game mechanics.
I confess yes i train at the bank too, and also sometimes on two clients, Mainly just to keep an eye out for sales i might be interested in.I know why I train at the bank. You might be okay with jerks being jerks, but I'm not.
Pretty much anything goes in Fel, save for bannable offenses like cheating and a few other things.I have asked to stop being killed in fel by people...should I call a GM on them? or just maybe practice pvp...Na, I'll always suck
And back in the golden days of UO I have asked folks to leave me alone and NOT do horrible things to my corpse after Im dead...
Should a GM ban them too?
I mean seriously now...Its a game..To many freaking rules...and this is probally one of the many reasons for the changes over the years...
But even talking about using a spell on someone...ggeeezz....
and people wonder why we can't have a classic shard...to many stupid rules trying to please everyone and the game is dieing a very slow death.......
Im all for the rule on if you say beep beep.,..or hey stick beep beep..Or racist slurs...thats when this rule is suppose to come into play...
Not just because someone is annyoning you...Heck thats what is half the fun of UO ..annoying people...If ya can't kill em with a sword...Bug emto tears...
As the Blond hair lady said...STOP THE INSANITY!!!!!![]()
Which is more preferable, I'm surmising, than going into Fel and playing with people who, by the majority there, act like 5 year olds. Charming.Pretty much anything goes in Fel, save for bannable offenses like cheating and a few other things.
When you step in carebear land, you need to follow rules laid out so that 5 year olds understand them. Things just run differently.
Dude, if you're going to cop out the Fellies, get the age right.Which is more preferable, I'm surmising, than going into Fel and playing with people who, by the majority there, act like 5 year olds. Charming.
