Supposedly. I recently emailed Mesanna and asked if they would be willing to support some player-run events here. Her reply was that a new EM had been appointed and would be on the shard once he/she was trained. That was back on the 18th of August though, so don't know what the delay is.

Note to new EM: Don't let the Siege way of life discourage you. Continue on with your events even when all hell breaks loose. Its often survival of the fittest around here. Keep the event going. People will get rez'd and try to catch up and rejoin. Most of us enjoy the chaos, but don't let it get you down.

What is the point of an EM? Run some sort of event?
One. Either no one shows up. That is the best case.
Two. Lots show up and some act like asses. No, thank you.
Everyone knows how I feel about these things. Why bother? While lag is no longer an issue. For me any way.
In my experience, EA events are just epeen contests and pet shows.
If this rumor is true, I laugh. Just another Siege newb to throw into the Grinder.

Get off your Ass and start doing some EM'ing then.. instead of ridiculing the thought of someone at least trying.
Complaining that Someone/Something isnt/wont Be good enough, while doing nothing to make it better, and basically refusing to even acknowledge the thought of getting involved yourself.. Isnt that Hypocrisy?

I've been at work this whole time ive been on the Boards today.. Whats your ExcuseLast Em quit because he worked hard for these events and not very many people attended...guess everyone was fighting on the boards rather than playing the game

I am sorry. My attitude is just wrong. I admit it...
Even though I personally have never really gotten in the the EM thing does not mean that others should not enjoy them. I pledge to support any Em that will come to our shard as best I can. As a Stratics vollunteer and a player if I am ever home when/if these things occur.

WOW! Way to build community!
I know the last few EM's have left a bitter aftertaste for quite a few folks. They could have done some of the smallest things to make a difference in the past, but I dunno what it is that prevents them. Maybe its a lack of time or motivation or perhaps the devs aren't very supportive of their efforts. I'm not sure what it is, but if we can get a good, solid EM who can dedicate some time to Siege, I think its a good thing and am happy to see you have changed your mind, Kelmo. IMO, its in our best interest to support anyone willing to put in some time for us!
A really great active EM can add a foofooy giant nilla flavored icecream cone with a cherry on the top of it, at our Luna Bank like they have on Chesapeake. *no clue what it is for* but it is there. A really great active EM can add them foofooy fancy foot warmers like they got on Chesapeake at their Luna Bank too, no clue what those neon things are for ...but they got em WE DO NOT ! A really great and active EM can add all them fancy foo fooy things by the Luna wall and fairgrounds with banners and statues connecting player run towns to Luna...then adding more foofooy stuff at their towns with banners and magical transport thingies like they did on Chesapeake...although not that it bothered me...but for some there was no [WARNING ENTERING FELUCCA] on the lil Paxlair statue thingie in......Trammel LUNA.I know where Paxlair is & I can use it, if I am out of recalls to go to visit my allies there, but trammie borns, would not know and could maybe be whisked to FELUCCA dbl clickin on a few of them pretty EM created teleporter statues by the bank/fairgrounds.

So ya see Kelmo, if we get a decent active and great EM we too can have a foofooy WTF is it for giant ice cream cone, and other neony WTF is it fors, in OUR Luna bank, too, thingies that players can not do nor put up, on a shard, that make a shard seem alive and some cross between, Disneyland and the Twilight Zone !

You would exclaim 'ooh the colors the colors' & WTF is this for, if we had an active decent EM on Siege Perilous TOO !

Dunno what happened with the last few EMs, but I hope the rumor is true. Have always liked events myself, but don't ever know what to do once chaos erupts. Should be less of a problem general chat though.
