To maximize use and also to prevent failures during repairing of items, at what durability do most people find themselves repairing at?

None of my things have a maximum durability of 255.

However, I repair whenever I get the message that my gear is severely damaged, so zero (or minus one?). I'm not going to check my gear all the time when it will alert me itself.

I rarely take damages though, even on melee fighters, so it's not often an issue.

Yup around 50% and with the imbued / relic / brittle it is a hole new deal.

I repair them after about the 5th "your equiptment is severely damaged message"

Im not really fussed about replacing them, its not exactly hard to do once youve done the work for the first suit.

Same on replicas, except on things like the sash or Collar those i just take them of until i remember.

I do it usually somewhere between 5 and 19, but I'm not sure what the best time to do it is for a 255. If you do it with anything less than 20 though on a 255 I bet the odds of failing to repair go way up, and of course, if you're at 0, then odds of fails are high as heck. Best to repair before 0, haha, that much is certain.

When is the best time to repair an item?

Cause since I learned of the 'repair it early to save on duration' thing, I began repairing earlier, and never saw any difference. My items got damaged from the repair all the same.

Yea i tend to agree. The fail rate is probably less than 5% except on glasses but who cares you can fort them.

Plus as i said i before the stuff is sooooo damn easy to make its almost not worth repairing at all!

I normally repair somewhere around 50, just in case something comes up and I dont have time for repairs. Would rather not have an item drop under 0.

I try to let my equipment get to as close to zero as possible, since I have never repaired anything w/o losing a point of durability, no matter what level of wear the item is at.

yep, I too read that if you repair before 40% damage, the chances of not damaging the item are higher... not so at all.

I can only recall 1 time out of many, many repairs on something that was just slightly damaged that resulted in no durability loss.

I do mine before a peerless fight if im under 50 on anything or when I get as close to 0 as possible. Gotta say I dont think it makes a difference when you do it, you lose a point most of the time anyway. I did fail on my M&S Glasses 10 times in a row one day and they were at like 19/254 when I started, that was a "wtf" moment lol. I have never failed that much on repairing anything in the past 4 or so years that I have played.

I repair my things generally when they are at about 50%....

I don't like seeing the message that my equipment is severely damaged and I figure why risk it breaking.

Often I repair them without losing a point as well... probably 35% of the time.

I repair them when I see the damaged message, Mostly just because that's the only time I notice. I don't keep an eye on the durability. :(

I had the same problem with items losing durability every single time until I started repairing items with my GM tailor and not my legendary one.

My GM tailor has been able to repair several items that went to zero durability with NO loss. I had never seen that happen with the 120 tailor; in fact several failed repair attempts were the usual result.

Based on the failure rate my guess is that the game code thinks my legendary tailor only has 20 points in skill instead of the 120.

(I have not noticed the same problem with my legendary smith.)
