Well chr. transfers OFF of Siege would not help me none. I have full blown Chrs. on Chesapeake I could play some of em even with same names as the chrs. I built here back in 2004, plus MORE chrs. per acct. there IF I wanted to go backwards.
I came here for various reasons back in 2004. The community we HAD was one of those, no insurance was another reason, and I just thought it was very weird to see factioners burning off their stat loss just bank sitting in trammel faceted LUNA till they safe to go back to fight in felucca. IRONY !
No I can go on another shard any time I want with chrs. I HAVE all scrolled out and use those, IF I wanted to.
I can go elsewhere, and see a giant icecream cone in Luna bank no clue what that was for, see *neon hued foot warmers* on the Luna bank floor, no clue what those are for, I can go see myriads of TOWN gates set up by EMs to player run towns, town banners EM created there, and attend tons of EM held events cranked out weekly monthly and wonder ...WHY NOT ON SIEGE for any of this stuffs...to where some shards look like some cross between the 'twilight zoned disneyland' of pampered customer services WE are not even getting at all for diddly squat let alone fixes and hope to cure what ails Siege Perilous the nearly ignored shard of their customer base.
So why would I pay them my monthly UO fees, to GO play my Siege chrs. which I worked up HERE to go play my Siege chrs. back where I came from, [when I came HERE to play HERE] for all the reasons I CAME HERE in the first place ? I mean I really do like my lil carpenter Miranda HERE and I would like to play her there...but that lil chr. was BORN HERE, she belongs HERE...no one there knows about KSS nor CWS nor White Council nor MYTH nor some never even heard of NEW...all guilds my lil carpenter HERE, was a part of in one way or another. She would be a misfit over there shouting that she was pkd many a time by someone shouting DIE INSOLENT BLUE
and they would look at me like I was insane over there no clue of even whom the vampires VMP here, were even. And comically what would I do with 40 MORE parrots on my home over there...cluttered with sad lonely parrots I hardly see anymore over THERE.
I have a GM +++ carpenter there...and scrolled out or skilled up, tamers and bards and warriors and ninjas and etc. etc. all that...on some 6 chrs. per acct. there ie 24 chrs I could be playing, THERE...if or when I wanted to do so. I am still HERE waiting/hoping for us to get the attention, they give em all over THERE on all them other shards of their customer base.
My Siege chrs. want SIEGE FIXED so they can continue to play HERE, and continue to pay EA UO to play their game HERE !! For this EA customer Siege was that last stop out of their UO payin customer door. I don't know bout the rest of yall, I would rather they give Siege even 2% *or more* ie even EQUAL be better yet, of the personal attention & care that I see that they give and do and fix, for their customer base...over there on shards elsewhere.

That was xfering to Siege.
They can make xfering off Siege if a good number of Siegers want it.
The community is killing Siege. Transfers would be the developers sending a lifeboat out to this sinking ship for those who still love UO.
I agree. I think they could code xferring OFF of Siege, cept maybe for Siege unique items, that should NOT go elsewhere, but for them it probably would be way easier to permit us to tranfer our chrs. OFF Siege, than for them to find resolutions to try to build up and FIX Siege, sadly !
You may be correct on that assumption.
When I do log on Chessie, I see players of both facets having nothing in common, able to somehow help via co operating with each other despite all their dislikes of one another, to help even the EMs construct all their connected player run towns and more and more....co operating despite their sometimes even hatred of one another's play styles, player towns, etc. to build something TOGETHER that some how works FOR all of em...yet here all we do is argue or knitpick till nothing gets done for ANYONE let alone for the shard as a whole body of unique different peoples.
Hell I even get picked on here for being 'just a carpenter', like I get berrated sometimes by a few in chat wherever, with em sayin... what ya got nothing else to DO, that ya have to have EVERY table type, on your vendor ? Is that wrong ? I guess so for some folks, like OMG she is a tiny bit of carpentry competition for a fricken chair, lets put her down as having no rl life till she too LEAVES the shard too, and then only they will be left sell a table to nobody here !

You knew the consequence of developing a character here. You cannot transfer on or off Siege. It takes only a couple days to train on prodo anyways. Just start new.
Yep Id like to be able to spend my years of skills and money to still play the game. Its not realy possibly to enjoy the MMO in this RPG on siege currently. Even the most popular shard Aatlantic has had alot of player decrease. It might be time to start squishing servers together and if it means players doing it or the devs forcing it i think its the right thing to do. But at least give us the option of doing it now that the shard is dead.

Did it hurt your feelings when he proved you were wrong about the detect timer?
You should try getting over it because people knew you were clueless about UO before you posted that making yourself look clueless.

Actually, we were both correct about the timer. If you actively target something the timer is 6 seconds. If you hold the curser and try to re-detect, its 10 seconds. The way I was doing it was holding the cursor up and spamming the macro until it let me try it again. Then I re-did it, trying all possibilities and explained that I was wrong. Must have missed that part. You tend to read certain excerpts of peoples posts and call BS on everything.
Also, I've stated many times that no one knows exactly what the devs can do. What is easy and what is not. More importantly I don't have the slightest clue on what can be done with computer scripting. I know how to turn my comp on, log into uo and search the internet... lol. BTW, I was quoting something that cal himself said.

I read that when he posted it. He was referring to xfering characters to Siege. We don't know whether or not it could work in reverse. I guess its just as well, though, because that would likely be the end for Siege.
Its a real shame that they have neglected this shard to the point that it has come to this. They should really be embarrassed that they let it get to the state its in.

I've said it a thousand times and since you guys still don't get it I'll say it a thousand more times.... The dev's are not to blame for the state that siege is in, we are! Sure they could have made things easier for us all but in the end it is the community who decides rather to play with honor or not. At any time players can put away their "insured" superman suits, and at any time players can cease to using smoke bombs etc. etc. The choice is ours but we're so caught up in our own greed and selfishness we rather point the finger and blame the failure of our shard solely on the devs without taking any responsibility ourselves.
At this moment I promise that if the players would put up their blessed superman suits that i will never pop a smoke pill and run off in rodent form.

But then again I really can't expect players like freesly and BR to give up their superman suits and go back to being a nobody as they were before faction arties. I will admit that asking someone to give up power is somewhat a ridiculous request. Kinda like asking Darkness

I pwnd more face before faction arties came out. Wanna know why? Because I'm rich as balls and could/can out bid anyone I wanted too. I had hundreds of cursed artifacts, fey leggings, crimsons waiting to be used. While your average pvper was wearing some decent runic made items.
I would GLADLY go back to before faction artifacts. It was easier to kill people. Again, that was because only a select few were able to out bid everyone and equip such gear. But you wern't here for that
you wouldn't know anything about that. You equipped blessed sammy helms and leggings of embers... Then I take it you quit after that and missed out on all the changes. Its all good. You can keep commenting as if the game is still pre-2004. Why don't we set up a good place/time to meet. I'll show you what fighting with honor is. Then I'll cut your suit up and drop little bandages and pieces of leather on the ground for you to collect.

The end result is the exact same. You cant use them, I have the same stat enhancements, DCI, HCI and all those other goodies.
Get over yourself. We're not to blame for the state of the game. EA's neglect has killed siege. A shard with unique game style that is based off of production shards cannot survive.

This turkey is complaining about faction arties but last he played he was running around with blessed legs and helm. Not everyone had those blessed items. I know of more people quitting because of the unfair blessed items than faction arties.

Hey I realize those legs and helm were also unfair to the people who didn't have them and no I didn't care one way or the other just as long as I had mine. You see, the problem is that as a server we still haven't learned from our past mistakes. We were all greedy, selfish bastards (those who equipped the legs and helm) back then and we were all younger lose cannons also. We're suppose to learn from our mistakes, not continue to keep making the same ones over and over. Stop using me being a selfish ******* in the past as an excuse for you to be one today! Man up for the betterment of our shard.
