Someone said in chat that 13 year vets will have a skill cap of 750. Is this true? Was this discussed at the town hall? Thanks in advance
Make it 4 years and/or quests (so that if you don't do the quests you automatically get the 5 point increments with the aging as currently, but quests just let you speed it up), and I'd be with it.No. Also, lets get rid of the 4 year wait on new accounts to get up to a full 720. Make it a quest to get each +5, that costs lots of money and time, but which anyone can do to get up to speed.
Its not helping to attract new players to say you gotta wait 4 years to have the same skillcap as vets.

Agreed, Drop the limit and let it be trained with grinding.No. Also, lets get rid of the 4 year wait on new accounts to get up to a full 720. Make it a quest to get each +5, that costs lots of money and time, but which anyone can do to get up to speed.

Confused. Is this not a subscription based game? If there is no rewards worth staying active for long time and everyone can have everything in 1 month of playing therefore ending the game why would they want to continue paying for the game after they finished? No. Also, lets get rid of the 4 year wait on new accounts to get up to a full 720. aww too much to handle, some of us paid a hell of a lot of money into this game. is it to much to ask we get rewards we can use instead of eye candy? Not discussed at the town hall and would be very unbalancing...
I can't imagine it would happen.
Even as a confirmed non-PvP player,I can see a huge problem with this concept - as a fairly 'old' vet, why should I be given an advantage over other characters, just because I've been around a long time? Isn't 13 years of experience and knowledge enough?Confused. Is this not a subscription based game? I don't beleive there should be balance in a game such as this. Chess yea poxnora yea WOW came from a strategy game so yea but role playing games nah not only is unrealistic it's imposible unless you turn it into a strategy game.Even as a confirmed non-PvP player,I can see a huge problem with this concept - as a fairly 'old' vet, why should I be given an advantage over other characters, just because I've been around a long time? A balanced PvP should surely mean, as people keep claiming they want, that it's down to the skills and knowledge of the player in using the character skills and equipment to compete with others. That competition surely needs a fair base point to fight from. Making it possible for someone to do even better in that aspect of the game simply through account age means a vast number of those enjoying PvP see it get much harder against those 'old folks', whilst for those older accounts what many enjoy about the fight is reduced because they are being given an inbuilt advantage over the younger ones.
Veteran rewards should be useful and fun to own, but not allow any particular advantage over others except maybe convenience in some minor or routine things.
As for 'what should I get for having paid subs for 12 or 13 years' - the answer is 12-13 years of fun and enjoyment in the best mmo around, anything else is a nice bonus but it sure as hell isn't a reason for paying to play....
