I have created a zoomed in version of the town hall demo. Unfortunately the stream quality was poor, so this is the best it will get unless the developers release their own version.

I took a 5 min video of the action demo, clocked 500 mb. I'll have it up, 720 rez, whenever my internet connection allows me . takes roughly 3 hrs and change to upload given no other traffic.

I just upload in Internet Explorer since that is what it will be most compatible with. That and Windows Update are the only reasons I open IE.

If the standard YouTube uploader doesn't work, try the advanced uploader (link to the right of the standard one on the upload page). It's still in beta but I find it's more stable and reliable (sounds familiar), and I use FireFox. The standard one works for me as well. Also check your FireFox add-ons, see if you're blocking something. If you're using the advanced one, try the simple one.

Also 500MB is massive to upload, even for 720p. Have you tried the recommended compression methods? If you use the ones they suggest YouTube won't recompress your video for that resolution. Either that or cut it up into digestable chunks and drop them into a playlist.

500MB is not a large amount for a HD video. I figure about 100MB per minute of HD video. But it also depends how much action/movement takes place. I sometimes have 1.5GB videos which are only 6-7 minutes long.

That's still quite big, I can compress HD with h264 at about 50MB per minute and it looks just fine.

Are you keeping it in original resolution or upscaling to 1280x780? If you keep them small like 480x520 then the size will be a lot smaller. Your video might still be HD quality, but Youtube only makes HD available to users if it is at least 1280x780.

Thanks for comments I eventually got it to work (I agree, IE responds to Java much better as well). I also encourage others not to look for a stand-alone, you'll probably end up getting spyware or worse from the shady sites I looked through.

Hehe it isn't the best video, very handy-cam ;D but I will post when it is finished processing, just finished uploading. And yes, my camera shoots 1280x720 HD720p, and it compresses as MOV which is why file is huge (I mainly use the dig camera for snapshots, hehe but thought it be cool to take video).

Actually, before I make it public I should ask, is it cool that I took the video? Haha. They said at meet can take pictures of anything during presentation but before I post, let me know ;D.

Pictures and video/audio are two different things. I think they shut off the live stream because they didn't want some stuff public. So you should ask before posting a video if you didn't at the event.

I think what people need to know overall though is that smooth boat sailing looks awesome. Of course, that was in the SA client, but eh ;P.
