Does wacking a GM crafted Golem with a poison blade still work if in trammel and no guild to 120 skills?

I don't get it....

Did I spell something wrong?
You posted the possessive version, not plural.

And no, a golem now only has like 99 poison resist, so when you hit it it will deal 1 damage.

Arctic Ogre lords can be charmed with Dryad Allure and they have 100% poison resist. I think a new SA Tameable or craftable also has 100% poison resist.

Prepatch golems are around, but not worth the investment.

I always soulstone spell weaving to use the arctic ogre lord to train, in my experience it has been the fastest. *Note you can also use this to train magery with a 100% poison damage mage weapon.

so, if I am getting this correctly, the best way to gain swords and tactics would be put spellweaving on the char, and going to ice and hitting an Ice Ogre Lord with a poison weapon to gain.

Otherwise, just hire Jhelom guys and heal them?

One option is to put spellweaving, use dryad allure, take the arctic ogre lord wherever you want and hit it with a poison weapon.

I think Jhelom guys would take forever.

If you're human you can whack on a golem, just carry a lot of ingots and tinker kits and repair the golem every chance you get. The JoAT is enough to keep it alive.

Or you could hunt stuff at the appropriate skill level and make some gold/items while you're gaining.

you can use newly crafted golem for gains....

It does take 1 damage per hit but just find someone with mysticism to heal it up.

Cleaning wind can be used to heal golems unlike greater heals.

So, put spellweaving on your swordsman-in-training. Use Dryad allure on AOL. Take AOL home. Use 100% poison weapon to pound on AOL.

Question: Using Dryad Allure, the AOL becomes your "pet". Does your pet attack back? Does Dryad Allure wear off?

Never heard of using a mage weapon that's 100% poison to gain magery. That's neat will it take you to 120? And if so how fast is the skill gain compared to say a 100lrc, 40lmc, 2/6 suit with 100 med & focus gains chain casting? If it's faster looks like I'm going to be in the market for redoing the way I train magery

It's much faster. You get a chance to gain every 1.25 seconds assuming you're at the swing speed cap, compared to how long you have to wait in between EQ or Flamestrike casting.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but you can also use Gift of Renewal (SW Spell) on Golems if you can't Dryad Allure (and you can use Gift of Renewal w/ Human JOAT).

I generally still use Golems but use slower weapons as a result, so Arctic Ogre Lords is definitely the most efficient method if you can soulstone over SW (I do have a prepatch golem or two though, hehe).

The process, which I haven't seen posted yet, is All Guard Me, attack golem/ogre, tell pet All Stop, then All Follow Me. After that, you just have to watch; the pet will keep reflagging unless someone invises both you and the pet at the same time, hehe. Likewise, to stop, tell pet to All Stop and tab out at the same time.

And using a poison wep for Magery is awesome :).

Hmm... I've been swinging away for 1/2 an hour now with no gains. In Trammel. No Guild.

I'm not at skill cap. Swords is 100.0, cap is 120.0 Dryad Allure an AOL. Took him to my house. All Guard Me. Attack. All Stop. All Follow Me.
