Yes the damage output is just silly and any argument not to nerf it is just a waste of time as it will get nerfed eventually.
IMO spell plague should only effect the damage done by the attacker - or it will remain the ultimate ganking spell used by run and hide players.
...or if they insist on keeping it like it is, effecting all damage done by all players, then the damage output must be very closely evaluated and nerfed.
The duration must be looked at and considered , and probably as suggested based on the defenders resistance.
Back on this again eh? Spell plague is a 7th level spell...the equivalent of flamestrike...which does an immediate 40+ dmg. If you have difficulties interrupting a mage with a 7th level spell, I can only figure that you must be a dexxer...one who quite honestly was more than likely OP before mysticism came along.
As it has been stated MANY times...more people are playing mages in pvp than they have in years. Why? THEY CAN COMPETE AGAIN WITH THE REST OF THE *OP* TEMPS!!!! So please, why you are crying consider the fact that you can have use all weps on one char...consider that you can use a bow that has two hit spells AND is balanced...consider you can mod out a suit to make it absolutely insane..
On the flip...most mage STILL require a mage wep to compete...most mages STILL need to give up on other stats to attain the 70 dci to avoid being pummelled to death by dexxies (tough to accomplish mind you!)...most mages are underpowered without mysticism.
So...if you would like me to give up on mysticism...what is it going to be for you. Give up double hit spell? Balanced bows? Limit to one wep skill? Drop HLD/HLA from mod list? FFS...if you are asking for mystics to get nerfed...you better damn well be prepared to give something up for it too!
Mages up till mystic took a back seat to terrible dexxers for two years of OP crap...yet did you once complain that your temp was too overpowered in that time? Truth is once again, mysticism puts mages back on par with dexxies and tamers...the sooner you accept that the sooner you will learn ways to interrupt a slow seventh level spell.
